"IF YOU DON'T MAKE THE TRAIN, DON'T MAKE IT WAIT"

Advertised as a caution in the cars of some New York subway trains is the inscription, “If you don’t make the train, don’t make it wait.”?

It has been posted as a caution to those who may attempt to enter the cars when the doors are about to close to perish the thought and wait for the next train.?

Secondly, it also serves as a reminder that such attempts may delay the train’s movement and waste everyone’s time. So, when you miss the train, don’t attempt to make it wait - wait for the next train. Do not delay the one leaving the station.?

This can be profoundly likened to our lives. Many of us have arrived late at the station and are unwilling to let others go. We have become the reason why the teams we work with are not progressing. Our character and attitudes have become a barrier to progress, and we are not ready to let go.?

Our motto is simple: “If it doesn’t work for me, it shouldn’t work for others.” But why should others stop moving because you aren’t ready or arrive late? Why can’t you wait for the next train??

This week, eschew the selfish desires. Instead, look at the big picture and support others to move and grow. We all can’t be on the same train. Others can take the lead while you follow. And particularly when you aren’t ready and on time, don’t stop the music for others - let their songs play on. Just wait for your time - after all, you arrived late at the station.?
