You never Walk Alone is Liverpool F.C Anthem, yet can be easily forgotten when the Team, or a player?is not doing well. ?Liverpool have started the Season in poor form which has been quite a disappointment for the fans.*
Many of the players have been underperforming since the start of the Season. This could have been due to the ‘extra’ long season last year, losing the European ?Cup Final, and having their confidence knocked out of them ?from the first few Games of the Season. ?
Trent Alexander, Liverpool’s right back was a standout player last year who constantly received 7 + ratings and was the next best thing to sliced cheese. He had a strong midfield who protected him from his Achilles heel, the ball over the top. This season the wheels have come off with our midfield misfiring (many injured), and Trent is ?looking as though his confidence has disappeared, and/ or his legs have gone. This does not make him a bad player overnight. A rest on the sidelines, some added training, Liverpool injured mid-field coming back and a boost of confidence will get Trent back to being the best thing since sliced cheese?once again.
In Business, if ?your top performers are ?suddenly ?not performing, it does not mean you need to write them up or let them go. It may be a good time to look within the organization to see what the moral is like, ?what has changed within the organization ?(or with your top performers), and what changes need to be made to get your top performers performing again.
As YNWA is bellows around Anfield, pundits, key board warriors, ‘supporters’ have been quick in calling for Jurgen Klopp (Liverpool Manager) to be fired, which in my opinion is a sign of ignorance. ?When matters are not going to plan, the easy thing to do is look for someone to blame, which is generally the manager, and/or the players/ staff. ??Klopp is one of the top Managers in the World, who has achieved great success in his previous positions, and now with Liverpool F.C. ?When a Team that was a success starts to underperform look from Top Down to see what needs to be changed/ added to get them to start performing at their capabilities.

In Sport and in Business, a Manager can play a major part in the success or failure of the Team/ Organization. However, ?Owners/ CEO’s/ Senior Management need ?to offer the resources to the Managers to provide to their Team to make it a success. Without the right resources from the Owners/ CEO/ Senior Management, the best Manager and Team will eventually come up short. ?
