Once you have a set of goals to work towards, you need a plan and a strategy for achieving them. If you don’t have a plan, you don’t really have goals. What you have is a combination of hopes, dreams and wishes. It’s great to have dreams but to make your dreams reality you need goals, plans and strategies.
Planning takes time and busy entrepreneurs often tell me they’re too busy to plan. If this is you, you need to plan even more than the next person! The less you have of something, the more you need to plan how you’ll use it. If you don’t have a lot of time, you need to spend more time planning how you’ll use the time you do have.
If you have an abundance of money, do with it what you will. But if you have a lack of money, guess what? You need to take the time to plan how to best use the money you do have. If you only have so much energy, planning helps you make best use of it.
Planning helps you make the best use of any resource, by making you focussed, efficient and effective.
