Finally, the latest season of The Winding Road Podcast has launched!?
Hopefully, this will be the last time I refer to it as a season since I've put a process in place to make it easier to be consistent when publishing podcast episodes: I'm working in waves.?
I talk about this at the beginning of the latest episode and hope to "show my work" as often as possible to provide insight into how the podcast is made. Not just the podcast but everything I plan to do with Winding Road Careers in the upcoming year- including workshops, courses, and possibly a book. Stay tuned!

Podcast Episode 39 - You Don't Have to Be an Instant Expert
Listen to the full episode here .?
This episode is a solo riff where I talk about something I struggled with when I pivoted from managing a team of marketers and a company's strategy to starting a business focused on marketing and revenue operations.?
Before I made the pivot, I was very active on LinkedIn- posting almost every day.?
Immediately after the pivot, I pulled back. My confidence was gone. I felt like I had nothing to say and no longer knew what I was talking about. It was hard.?
In this solo riff, I talk about what I did next and why it's OK to take a break from posting on things like LinkedIn.?

What I'm Reading*:
?? Reading cover-to-cover:?Disrupt Yourself ?by Whitney Johnson
?? Using as a reference book: The Content Fuel Framework by?Melanie Deziel
?? Listening to: How To Begin ?by??? Michael Bungay Stanier
*Reading” doesn’t mean I’m reading everything cover-to-cover. Some books I use as a reference- flipping to the appropriate chapters/pages that apply to what I’m doing at that time; I usually have an audiobook or podcast queued up to listen to when I run, ride my Peloton, or am working in my yard, and usually AM reading a book cover-to-cover.
I’ve found that “reading” multiple things simultaneously helps generate ideas- especially since there’s no such thing as something new, only combinations of things that already exist.

2 年Good luck with your new venture; I totally identify with "reading" I have tons of ongoing books on my Kindle. And whatever I need seems to pop up just when I need it. I've been encouraged to start a Podcast too. Perhaps we can interview each other once I get one going. Thanks for the invite.
