You don't always have to stand still, to avoid spilling.

For those not familiar with sloshing, it's when a liquid in a container, moves irregularly, which can result in it splashing out. Back in 98, I became very familiar with sloshing after a few shirts had been ruined. At the time I was a busboy, carrying trays of drinks around a busy restaurant. I quickly learned that when the surface of the drink starts to slosh, you need to stand still, take a breath, let the drink settle, and don't let anyone rush you. Perhaps this experience is why I'm so impressed with SuperTrak's anti-sloshing capabilities, as it doesn't have to stand still to avoid spilling.

Sloshing is a big challenge for #manufacturers as each day millions of products are being produced containing fluids. For example, when a fluid gets spilt it can lead to contamination, unscheduled repairs, and safety issues. This results in millions of dollars being lost, due to things like waste, delays, and maintenance. Worst of all, it can lead to injuries due to wet surfaces.

Here's a video of #SuperTrak's anti-sloshing in action. In it, you will see an example of a shuttle running with anti-sloshing turned on and another with it turned off. The difference is significant, and this is due to how it uses software to run algorithms that optimize the acceleration and deceleration of the shuttles.

So, although it's too late for my ruined shirts. And although, SuperTrak may never be configured to carry drinks to a table in a restaurant. It is helping to transform #manufacturing, by enabling manufacturers to stay competitive through #innovation by using smart conveyance #technology to decrease costs while increasing outputs. And now you know why you don't always have to stand still, to avoid spilling.

great article Westley Alkin, most engineers who integrate complex automation processes will know this is quite a complex problem which is simply solved by #supertrak
