Are you Depressed?
Sarthak Gupta, SAFe Practice Consultant, RTE 6 ,SA, CSM, CSPO, TKP

I am Depressed….
Ever heard that phrase? Or
Know someone who said it?
Have you ever felt it?
Its the Leading Cause of Disability Around the world
Nearly 6.5 percent of Indian population show symptoms of anxiety and depression.
350 million people worldwide suffer from the same.
But while many people do suffer, some just think they do…
In other words, depression is an overused word.
It used when we are not even depressed.
So I just wanna explain:
We all experience the feelings that we rather not feel.
When we didn't get the job we wanted when the sell of a house fell through.
When a relationship isn't working out and on & on…
And we know how painful it can be to experience such undesirable feelings.
Whether we’re angry or fed up, frustrated or lonely or rejected, it can be painful.
To face up to the demands of life.
But here is the thing.
We gave too much attention to our feelings
Happiness and sadness are like seasons.
Summer and winter they come and then they go.
And feelings are equally fleeting.
So why do we give lasting attention to temporary feelings?
Sometimes seasons are short-lived, sometimes they last longer.
But they always come and go, that's very characteristic of our emotions, they are not here to stay and so they are not who you are? You have to stop identifying with them.
Because You are Unique.
What are you?
You are the Soul, the witness of emotions and its effects.
The very nature of the soul is to Joy, you are made of Happiness.
So your depression can't really touch You.
Conclusion:
Don't allow your, mind to convince you that you are your emotions and feelings!
You are something Higher something Spiritual.
You can never stop life challenges, coming down on you, but you can choose how to respond.
You can rise above your mind and change a lens with which to see the world.
Life is about choices:
Either you chose to listen to your mind or to rise above it.
It's not easy, but it is Possible!
As the impossible says I M POSSIBLE.
