YOU DECIDE
"We do not have government by the majority. We have government by the majority who participate."?– Thomas Jefferson
Democracy: A system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives.
Vote: A formal indication of a choice between two or more candidates or courses of action, expressed typically through a ballot.
Our forefathers believed that there were five core personal freedoms that were fundamental to everyone. They were Freedom of Speech, Religion, Press, Assembly, and the right to Petition the Government. Having experienced an authoritarian monarchy, they feared that a powerful central government could infringe on these rights, so they designed a system that limited concentrated power and government intervention. The founders valued the idea of self-governance and believed that local and state governments could better address the specific needs of their communities. A limited federal government allowed states more freedom to operate independently and in ways that reflected their citizens’ values.?
Unfortunately, the once orderly and systematic process of politicians campaigning and citizens voting has become chaotic. This was not unintentional. Chaos is darkness. It is where evil lies.
Voting is absolutely necessary as it is the true essence of why America was created. Secession from the monarchy was ultimately the decision to give decision-making back to the people. The decisions, however, are only as good as the accuracy and relevancy of the information at hand. No easy feat in a system that obscures truth, facts, and objectivity. It is now incumbent upon each individual to first seek then find the light of Facts and Truth.
Each individual votes, even when choosing not to vote.
CAUTION
Optics
A candidate’s style, appearance, or speaking skills might be compelling; these factors don’t necessarily reflect their competence, ethics, or policy effectiveness.
Likability/Relatability
Likability is not the same as competence.

The Lone Decision
A track record is a more accurate determination than a lone decision itself.
Single Interview Response
It is extremely difficult to become informed on any candidate or subject by watching, reading, or hearing one interview. Complex policy issues are difficult to articulate and comprehend in abbreviated “prime time” responses, making them subject to misuse or misinterpretation.?
Political Advertisements
Soundbites framed by an opponent should not be confused with fact.
Media and News
It emphasizes the trivial factors to generate viewership (money), the root of most bias.
Endorsements
Without substance it is almost impossible to determine whether the endorser understands or cares to be informed of the candidate’s policies, plans, or values.
“You vote, even by not voting.”
