Are you a “CxO” level material?

Are you a “CxO” level material?

How many of us want to be at the Management Level? Becoming Manager is definitely a good goal. But becoming a boss for overall organization calls for some more extra mile running continuously. You have to start loving and hugging Sales numbers to make this happen. If you are one among those who is aiming at becoming a C Level Executive personality, here are some pointers that should help you to achieve that goal. Enjoy reading…

  1. Relationship Building

You can’t be a Leader if a set of people don’t follow your footsteps. Hence it’s important for you to build, scale and maintain relationship. You maintain relationship during good and bad times as well, by helping. You enjoy giving than snatching. You will not be thinking of return back policy when you give your helping hand for the needy. You enjoy working with your colleagues continuously for longer period of time. Social networking and actual physical meetings would help you to strengthen relationships.

  1. Approachable personality

You will never act like a boss. You are always a colleague and will love to perform the job that your peer or juniors are doing. You give lot of space for your colleagues to work with you. Approachable bosses listen to and respect their employees, acknowledge the contributions of others, and create an open-door policy. If you are not approachable you are bound to fail in the long run. Your career growth will become stagnant.

  1. Dream and execute a big picture

You are a user of Concave mirror to see big picture always. You will think long term as a Manager for your team’s and organization success. While you enjoy short term achievements long term achievements will give you the kick factor to perform more and more.

  1. Strategy

You don’t exist as a Manager to do just transaction level activities. You always look at coming up with Innovative strategies that are excellent for your customers. You would like to work as a strategic partner and advisor for your stake holders. You are a great problem solver for your internal and external stake holders. Your strategic think should be acceptable from the entire organization.

  1. Leave your ego outside the door

When you are aiming high, you will only think what is best for the organization. Rest should fall in place for your team and for yourself. You will ensure seamless communication with your colleagues so that there is zero ambiguity. You will allow other Leaders to become better individuals for organization’s overall success. You will enjoy other success stories big time. You will not mind learning from your juniors.

  1. Consistent performance

This is one of the key parameter. You have a beautiful track record of performance. You will have zero instances of non-performance. You are very strong in bouncing back when things fail from either your or organization end.

When Credibility, Competency and Aspirations are high you will get transitioned from Manager to Management very easily.

Too idealistic for anyone possessing all these qualities, although if someone existed, he would rather sit at home instead of facing the humiliation for being approachable and constantly berated!
