There is a limiting factor for every human on the earth. It is capacity, the maximum amount of something a human being can produce or contain.

An understanding of the collective capacity of your sales team is, I would argue, one of the most enlightening and influential wisdoms a sales leader can possess. This fact (and it is a fact, whether you know it or not) determines what reasonable goals are, what your ceiling is, what your unavoidable costs are, what competition your team is incapable of overcoming, etc.

If your team's capacity is less than mine, you can't beat me.

What if you could overcome capacity? What if your team could do more than its capacity dictated? What if you weren't subject to the limitations of every other human on earth? What if you could win the competitive deals your team's collective capacity dictates you should lose?

These unthinkables are now attainable in the sales world. How? The proper, intelligent use of well-constructed and purposeful sales automation to leverage your sales process.

Automation in sales is the Limitless pill. It gives access to the unused 90% of your team's capacity (in reality, this is a horrible analogy, but I'm hoping you get the point). Automation allows you to see more, know more, act more. Want to crush your competitors? See them driven before you? And hear the lamentation of their sales people? Research, understand, and deploy a sales automation solution in your sales organization.

Automation takes monotonous tasks off the plate of sales professionals so they can focus on the most profitable activities. Follow up emails never need be written again. Make it impossible to forget to call someone that hasn't gotten back to you. The limitations defined by the capacity of your sales team overcome.

Playing by a different set of rules empowers your team to, literally, outwork your competition.

What leap of innovation wasn't accompanied by a health dose of apprehension and skepticism? Don't be crushed by your competition because they embraced sales automation while you maintained the status quo.

10% of your brain? I think sales people only use 10% of their hearts #weddingcrashers. You crilled this article with the conan vid. Important to clarify that the follow up email is not a one-size-fits-all. Nothing is worse than the lack of empathy (hearts) bombarding of fake personalization - it must add value to the specific customer. Looking forward to your next post
