When it comes to culture, she notes that you need to prioritize!  Maybe learn a few things about the employees/employers you will be working side-by-side with. Then decide, what version of yourself you will present to them. 

Is your prescribed cultural bubble a one size fits all, or are you looking for unknown opportunities and new experiences? Change keeps life interesting and ensures that bad situations will not last forever. Make sure that your cultural bubble allows for "air to breath in".  

We have to look at the positives inside our little culture bubbles and draw from that energy. We have to give our unique culture a chance to move us, teach us, and mold us into something new – something better. But we have to be willing to learn, listen, and laugh with each other.

It's true, often we find that change begins within ourselves. It allows us to gain a new perspective, and start enjoying people, places, jobs, and other things again. The winds of change can be very good. We just need to allow ourselves to enjoy the culture of others and bring our best selves to the meeting.
