You create your life - Quick tips to create life consciously

Your point of view [POV] creates your reality.

Continuing the series on taking ownership of your life and living consciously, here is a priceless nugget for you - Everything going on in your life is a result of your beliefs & POVs.

Think about your life, is it a struggle or ease? Is it filled with obstacles or is it smooth sailing? Is there scarcity or abundance? Is there a nurturing or nasty boss? Are you always trying to prove yourself? Are there always setbacks after a happy spell? Do people always give you grief in relationships or never seem to care as much?

Now think about your views and beliefs about these things… you will see the connection. You most definitely believe that that’s how life, office, relationships, etc. should be. Like a sponge, you picked it from your parents, family, society, teachers, and even songs & movies!

Research shows that 98% of these beliefs are not even yours, you simply collected them through life and internalised them without question. Even the ones you questioned, you tried to prove them wrong thereby giving it your time & energy and strengthening them.

The good news is that beliefs & POVs are changeable. Some beliefs are easy to change, some deep rooted ones need core level work, but none are written in stone. The advantage of being conscious beings is that when you become aware of them, you can begin to change them.

Quick Tips:

1.      Look at the problem area of your life and acknowledge your beliefs

Eg. – You have to work very hard to make money, life is a struggle! This is definitely a beliefs that will make you slog, always struggle & never have ease!

2.      Introspect how and when you unconsciously function from or are at the effect of such beliefs

Eg. – Your clients/colleagues or boss will make your life tough, simple things will become complicated for you while others will be able to do it with ease.

3.      Laugh at your silly belief and make the demand to change the ones that don’t work for you

I simply laugh & say – “Wow, this is insane! This changes now!” and then for the next few days be conscious of that belief. Laughing at yourself is important to not beat yourself up. Eg. – I am willing to give up my old belief about life and money being a struggle, this changes now!

4.      Choose a more empowering belief

The above is just an example, choose a belief consciously, say it like an affirmation as many times as you please, it is great to start mornings with such beliefs.

5.      Acknowledge little changes

What you focus on grows, so for even the tiniest positive change, in this case if you have any sort of ease at work or with money, give gratitude and say – “I’ll have more of that!”

You can begin to do this consciously and soon enough you will be constantly aware of your beliefs. Question everything, play with your beliefs and keep at it till you see what works for you. In the beginning it does seem like a daunting task because we have millions of beliefs, but the core ones are few and very easily visible. Start with those and the changes will astound you!
