Wow! Monday is here. What an exciting time to be alive and significant.
I now am hearing the Ugggg...., Really? Are you kidding me?, and Your crazy! Well, those are the responses I can put into print. Yes, I am serious, it is Monday! What an exciting time. Now, let me tell you about my weekend. I spent the weekend at a speaker retreat meeting incredible people, hearing great successes, and building my business by searching who I can serve. From Friday to Sunday, I spent over 12 hours each day interacting with people. I was up at 4:00 a.m. on Monday ready to go and completely exhausted.
Some may ask what was I thinking?
I was thinking it is Monday and a great opportunity to be significant. Yes, I know what you are saying and thinking. We hear this all the time. I need a day to rest after I worked all weekend. I am tired. All valid reasons to take the day off. When you are passionate about who you are, nothing with stop you. Yes, I take time to rest and enjoy down time, but I am just as excited about taking time to be significant.
There are 3 reasons I believe you struggle with getting excited about Monday:
1. Self-Resisting Thoughts. Our thoughts are the continual conversations we have with ourselves. They are never ending and constant. Our thoughts are the catalysts for our direction. When we fail to face the correct direction when we begin each day, we may be going the wrong direction and not realize it until it is too late. We need to focus our thoughts to not resist moving out of our comfort zones and allow direct our thoughts to face us in the direction we need to go.
2. Self-Restricting Beliefs. As I have said many times, our thoughts will determine our beliefs. Our beliefs and feelings are what we live our lives by. They determine what is right and wrong or good and evil. Our morals and ethics are derived by what we believe. We have self-restricting beliefs because of self-resisting thoughts
3. Self-Fulfilling Actions. Our actions are a result of what we believe is possible. What is completed our not completed depends on the restrictions we place on possibility. We go into situations with preconceived ideas based on what we believe is possible.
The outcome of our activity is always a response of our original thoughts. Resistant thoughts are present when we fear what is possible. The resistance of risk keeps us making a jump into the unknown. When we are willing to risk failure, we will reap much greater rewards. A successful outcome is achieved despite the circumstances. Regardless of the circumstances, our outcome is a result of our mindset.
