Are you a crab? You should be ??
?? Crabs have the perfect beach bod and we should aspire to it #ChangeMyMind
Apparently, all kinds of combinations and body types turn out crab over time. Carcinisation describes the phenomenon of crustaceans independently evolving into crab-like bodies from their non-crab form. According to this random instagram source, shrimp, lobsters, and crayfish have evolved into crab bodies at least 5 separate times.
So, maybe we won’t evolve into actual crabs (who knows?). But in spirit, are you a crab? Are you in your optimum shape? Is the way you designed your organization the most profitable one? Is your brand design the one all other brands hover towards? Can you crush prey with your bare hands? (Maybe that last one, also no).
?? Funny how we still haven’t decided who should do the work
Sol LeWitt felt that art shouldn’t be based on skill, since to him, anyone could do the work. Peralta Ramos thought something similar and won a prize with his giant egg work of art that infuriated so many artists who actually got their hands dirty.
LeWitt took it as far as never actually making any of his work himself ever. He hired teams of draftsmen and fabricators as Renaissance painters’ did. If an architect doesn’t go off with a shovel and dig his foundation and lay every brick, why should he?
Does it make his creative idea any less valuable? Does spending time on each piece mean something? Say something about value? To me there’s no difference between this debate and the debate on AI doing jobs for us… is it a problem? Or should we be happy there’s now a team of craftsmen?

?? A T-shirt that says “PLENTY OF ACCUMULATIVE POTENTIAL”
The uncreative genius is still a genius (Goldsmith thank you for everything, if anyone wants to read him just email me). And Warhol could be understood?as one of those. We know a wide array of his works of art seem to be simply copying and pasting popular images. But Kenneth here would say that he comprehended the “tissue of citations” around, for example, the image of Jackie. Over time, it would only?grow more and more complex. He had an eye for images with accumulative potential.
Art, good work, a good strategy, an awesome rebranding might also have something to do not only with what it?is, but would it?could, may?and?might.

It’s peer pressure from dead people. Or guidelines that work because no one got fired for hiring IBM.
