If you could do it all again, would you?

You might think that’s a bit deep! My January brain isn’t ready for this level of questioning. “I’m still recovering from the Christmas break and have the remnants of a fuzzy head from all the wine and chocolate”.
And whilst there is the pressure to be the all-singing, all-dancing best version of yourself in January for the ‘New Year, New Me’ brigade isn’t always how you’ll be feeling.
We all learn from our experiences, mistakes and successes. That’s why I think it’s important to look backwards as well as forwards.
So, I’ll ask you the question again... If you could do it all again, would you?
Would you make the same plans?
We all make our plans in January, looking forward to the rest of the year with high hopes and ambitions. Or maybe you’re really organised and you made yours in November or December?
Have you looked back on your plans for 2022 and checked in with yourself to see what you’ve achieved?
Maybe you’ve ticked them all off and have given yourself a pat on the back, or perhaps there are lots you wanted to do but haven’t for lots of different reasons?
All done Debbie
If you’ve ticked off your list and done the things you wanted to do, has it got you where you wanted to go?
When you look back over the last year do you feel happy with the things you’ve achieved or do you wish you’d done things differently?

Lots left Lucy
If there are lots of things left in your plan that you didn’t get around to then it’s worth taking a look at why.
Maybe you were a little overambitious or perhaps life just got in the way - it happens to the best of us.
Whether you’re a Debbie or a Lucy this is a good time to look back over the last year and think about the things that worked for you - and the things that didn’t.
Look After Your List
This is also a really good time to think about the people that have worked for you over the last year. I don’t mean people that you have employed, I’m talking about the people that you’ve met along the way that have really benefited you.
When you look back over the past 12 months there will probably be a handful of really important people that have improved your business this year. You might also want to look at?the people that you have spent lots of time on that haven’t really had an impact.
Maybe this is the year to make sure you’re only spending time with people that have a positive impact on you.
Go on - take a leaf out of Marie Kondo’s book and if it doesn’t bring you joy then it’s time to throw it away.
