Are You A Conscious Visionary Or Do You Feel Life Is Knocking You Around?
When you live a conscious life, you open yourself up to creating the vision you have for yourself instead of letting life knock you around.

Are You A Conscious Visionary Or Do You Feel Life Is Knocking You Around?

As a visionary for your life, are you conscious? Or are you reacting to life instead of responding? With awareness, perseverance, patience, and commitment, you can develop the abilities and talents required to lead your life by raising your consciousness. Visionaries choose to brave paths that others would be hesitant to follow. Making a difference is at the heart of the direction you want to go, which goes beyond simply achieving objectives. You need to be aware of the context of your responsibilities if you're to be effective in achieving your dreams.

So what do you need to help you be conscious? Well, your trusted tribe is that dedicated group of individuals who want you to achieve all you dream of.?They, too, are mindful and have similar values, like your growth mindset. They’re also truthful with you, so they will give you alternative perspectives when they think you're off course.?

Consciousness also implies open communication with others. It means not taking things personally because, by practicing detachment from the outcome, you’re looking for the lesson you’re to learn instead of finding fault.?Furthermore, you prioritize what is important and perceive clearly through an inner calm instead of being reactionary.?

It's time to stop sleepwalking through your life from one task to another and engage. Autopilot may get you through the day, but that’s not living, just surviving. Now you need to become fully present as you consciously take part in the life you want to live.?

For most of us, enlightenment is not a destination or graduation into a permanent higher state of consciousness, but a moment-by-moment experience constantly fluctuating between degrees of wholeness and limited consciousness. I like to call this “enlightening-ment. ~ Dr. Jennifer Howard

The Benefits Of Conscious Living

At lower levels of consciousness, you frequently experience boredom, forgetfulness, distraction, lack of inspiration, or laziness. Even in those circumstances, ideal levels of consciousness, or rather, awareness, could enrich and deepen your experience and make it more meaningful. This mind-state can be helpful while dealing with mundane chores instead of living your life on purpose. On the other hand, keeping a higher level of consciousness when dealing with a busy schedule is crucial, and becoming distracted can be detrimental.

People frequently confuse consciousness for egotism and self-centeredness, yet true awareness involves paying close attention to those around you as well as your surroundings. It entails keeping your attention on what is going on right now rather than daydreaming about what is ahead or what has already passed.

I define consciousness as acquiring mental mastery. This succinct yet comprehensive definition covers several facets of how people behave. Being aware of and understanding your emotional, thought, and physical processes.?Making deliberate, intelligent, and careful decisions. Remaining positive no matter the situation. Maintaining your focus and being aware of what's important. Possessing a realistic and accurate perception of reality. These all stand for the actual advantages of living a more conscious, aware, and focused existence. In order to get there, there are several steps you can take.

If you can consciously choose your behavior—by focusing on your choices and what you control—you will be more thoughtful, and it will be easier to deal with whatever life throws at you. ~ Darcy Luoma

How To Live More Consciously

Of course, I can’t talk about consciousness without mentioning meditation, journaling, gratitude, and spending time in nature and how they can help you become more grounded and aware. Here are six ways for you to live more consciously.?

1. Meditation

There are many forms of meditation, but the goal is to become immersed in the present moment. Opening new perspectives, processing challenging emotions, remembering the past, experiencing creative inspiration, and getting better sleep are all benefits of meditation.

Your egoic mind is always buzzing and churning. The negative self-talk becomes louder the more fuel you give it. It’s constantly looking for things to do, watch, and worry about. You disregard the entire world that lives within you when you choose distraction over presence in your daily life. By connecting with your inner soulful self through meditation, you can become more conscious, in control, creative and productive.

Your focus and awareness will improve through mindfulness meditation. It enables you to rediscover your internal ideas, feelings, and sensations. You may practice it on your own easily and with no outside guidance from an instructor. However, you may find some excellent guided meditations online.

The moment you become aware of the ego in you, it is strictly speaking no longer the ego, but just an old, conditioned mind pattern. Ego implies unawareness. Awareness and ego cannot coexist. ~ Eckhart Tolle

2. Begin A Journaling Practice

Maintaining a journal may do a lot of things for you, including reducing stress, helping you reflect on your experiences, keeping track of significant events, and much more. People who journal are serious about their wiring and might describe their journal as their friend, their external mind, their attentive listener, their internal sanctuary, and their constant partner. Keeping a journal is a brilliant method to stay in touch with your inner soulful self and, as a result, increase your awareness of your daily life.

You might wonder how a notebook containing your thoughts might raise your consciousness. Putting your ideas down on paper can help you see things more clearly. You can learn more about your thought process and the nature of your connections with others and yourself by discussing incidents or discussions you've had. Greater behavioral control and awareness, which are important on the road to higher consciousness, come because of knowing yourself better. Maintaining a journal can help you remember things better and serve as a record of significant occasions and concepts in your life.

Just let go. Let go of how you thought your life should be, and embrace the life that is trying to work its way into your consciousness. ~ Caroline Myss

3. Be Grateful

The practice of gratitude is one of the most effective and most likely attractive ways to raise your consciousness in everyday life. How often does someone do you a favor and you don't take the time to appreciate it, letting this act of joy and gentleness go unnoticed? You might give a fast "thank you," but do you really mean it, and how soon do you forget what you were saying?

There are several advantages to practicing thankfulness, and they are all connected to higher consciousness. It improves your ability to cope with stress and cultivates an optimistic attitude about life. Appreciative people often find the positive side of a situation, even when it is negative. Gratitude exercises might enhance your health and help you sleep better. Not to mention that it works wonders for treating mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, and others.

Every time you want to express thankfulness, you stop being in auto-pilot mode. No matter how difficult life becomes, people who practice thankfulness become more and more conscious of the great things that are happening in their lives. They become more perceptive of good things and mindful. Since they always look at both sides of the coin, they start to view things logically. They become more mindful and, in the present moment, as they develop their gratitude practice.

In our consciousness, there are many negative seeds and also many positive seeds. The practice is to avoid watering the negative seeds and to identify and water the positive seeds every day. ~Thich Nhat Hanh

4. Time With Mother Nature

Anyone who wants to maintain their sanity, restore consciousness, and reconnect with themselves should make it a point to spend time outside, whether it's at the neighborhood park, on the beach, or in the forest. The natural scenery is quite effective in assisting you in overcoming worry and pessimism and regaining your attention and consciousness.

Nature plays a huge role in your life. With all of its advantages, modern life is separating you from this source of serenity, creativity, attention, and mindfulness. If this resonates with you, schedule some time each day or once a week to spend in nature and give it the same emphasis as work.

If you decide to practice meditation in the great outdoors, you might try to relax your eyes by taking in the view while not paying attention to anything in particular. You can get more awareness of your emotions and thoughts and feel more of a part of the environment by observing nature, reflecting on its varied qualities, and attempting to give shape to your perspective of nature.

The world is not to be put in order; the world is order, incarnate. It is for us to harmonize with this order. ~ Henry Miller

5. Become Conscious Of Your Senses

Using all of your senses to the utmost extent might also help you become more conscious in daily life. Many forget to watch, savor, and appreciate the rich sources of information about the environment you can gather through your five senses when you let the autopilot take over. Your bodies and minds can be stimulated to levels you never would have thought possible by engaging your senses to seek the awe and wonder around you.

For instance, did you know the amygdala, your emotional processor, and the scent pathway are close together in the brain? Because of this, smelling a familiar scent can swiftly and easily transport you back to your childhood or bring up memories of a certain location or person. Besides giving you better taste perception, eating more slowly is much better for your digestive system. You can feel calmer, enjoy the present moment, and be present in every moment by mindfully using your senses.

The cognitive-behavioral therapy approaches are a wonderful example of how engaging your senses and concentrating on the present moment may help you become more conscious. This therapy recommends a technique for waking up your senses and keeping your attention in the present moment when you're having a panic attack.

Try to make a point of emphasizing what you often perceive through your senses. Your awareness and consciousness will undoubtedly increase because of connecting with and articulating your sensual experiences.

Use your consciousness to imagine, to feel, to create, to live… not to rewind, not to regret. ~ Nitin Namdeo

6. Consciously Reflect

Make it a habit to reflect on your life. You must give things some thought, whether you do this by keeping a journal, including reflection in your evening routine, or scheduling a weekly session to assess your life. Your life's goals should be set or reviewed annually. What matters most to you? What kind of life do you wish to lead? How are you going to get there? Put it in writing, or create a vision board and post it somewhere you'll behold it frequently, and then take bold action towards your vision.

Examine your cherished connections as well. The people you care about are among, if not the most important things in your life. You should consider your interpersonal relationships. How much time do you spend with them? Do you express your gratitude to them? Is there a method you can strengthen your bond? Do you have anything to apologize for or forgive? Are there any obstacles that need to be overcome? Can you better communicate with them??

Review where you spend your time. You won't truly understand how you use your time until you do a time audit and keep a daily journal, even for just one or two days. And if you audit your time, the results can be quite unexpected. You can decide consciously to change how you spend your time in the future if you’re aware of how you’re currently spending your time.?

We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures. ~ Thornton Wilder

Consciously Moving Forward

Conscious living is a way of life, an ability, and an art. It's a habit you can develop for the rest of your life rather than something you do only once. However, it is deceptively easy: Be mindful and give your actions some thought. Make deliberate decisions rather than reacting. It sounds easy, but it's remarkable how few people follow through. It's also amazing how simple it is to live life on auto-pilot and simply carry on with the same routine since it's what you're accustomed to. Despite the challenges in your life, it’s simpler that way.

Taking care of yourself is only one aspect of raising consciousness; you also need to pay attention to the people, nature, sounds, smells, and ideas in your immediate surroundings. If you want to become fully present, you must make a conscious decision. You need to live your life by bringing whatever is rising from your unconsciousness to consciousness as much as possible. You must attempt to cut through the egoic haze which you frequently drift through to view your destination and avoid making reactionary choices.

Living consciously means taking charge of your life and creating the life you desire rather than accepting the one that comes your way. If your life seems to go nowhere, you feel out of control, or you're not sure how you got here, then the most crucial decision you make can be to live mindfully.
