Why Visiting Sponsors’ Booths is a Must
To state the obvious, business networking is important, so you better be prepared and have your business cards on hand.
Visiting sponsors’ booths at WordCamp Europe is a fantastic opportunity you won’t want to miss. From industry giants to specialized niche companies, sponsors are there to showcase their latest products and innovations. Here’s why you should make it a priority:
Pro Tip: Make time in your schedule to visit the sponsors’ booths. You never know what amazing opportunities and insights you might discover!
10 Questions to Attract Sponsors’ Attention
Visiting sponsor’s booths not only gives you a chance to discover new tools and innovations but also provides an opportunity to build valuable connections. To help you get the most out of these interactions, we’ve compiled a list of the top 10 questions to ask at sponsor booths. These questions will guide your conversations and ensure you gather insightful information and resources to enhance your WordPress projects.
Pro Tip: Clear, short, specific questions will help you gain valuable insights into the sponsor’s products, their place in the market, support options, and potential collaboration opportunities.
Don’t be shy! After WordCamp Europe, make sure to send a thank you email to all the sponsors, highlighting the valuable insights and benefits you gained from their booths. Building a strong communication bridge with each sponsor can open doors to future opportunities and collaborations.
Speak to the Speakers
With a wide variety of topics and workshops available, you can easily choose the ones that align with your interests. Here is the schedule, along with the list of speakers. The key is to streamline your plan by eliminating any topics that are less interesting to you. These questions will help you focus on sessions that are most relevant and beneficial to your needs:
Now that you have selected the speakers focus on their topics. For instance, if you’re attending a session on advanced WordPress security, research the latest trends and challenges in this area. Prepare your questions in advance, such as “What are the most common security vulnerabilities in WordPress themes?” or “How can we implement multi-factor authentication effectively?“
Have your questions ready to ask during the session. Check if you can submit your questions prior to their presentations, either through the event app or the conference website.
After the session, don’t forget to connect with your favorite speakers on LinkedIn. Send them a thank you note like this:
“Hi [Speaker’s Name],
Thank you for the insightful session on advanced WordPress security at WordCamp Europe. I found your tips on multi-factor authentication particularly useful. I have one follow-up question: What are some best practices for securing custom plugins?
I look forward to connecting and continuing the conversation.
Best regards, [Your Name]”
This approach shows your appreciation and opens the door for further private conversations. Believe me, it works like magic!
Connect with the Community
One of the best parts of WordCamp Europe is meeting fellow WordPress enthusiasts. There are many side events where you can engage with the community. Whether it’s someone you’ve followed on Twitter, LinkedIn, or Instagram, a user group member, or a familiar face from past WordCamps, this event is the perfect place to make new friends and reconnect with old ones. If you feel comfortable collaborating with strangers, then don’t forget to participate on Contribution Day.
Pro Tip: Don’t let FOMO prevent you from enjoying the joy of connecting with others. You don’t have to attend all the sessions.
Introverts Handling Conference Stress
Introverts (like me) often need regular breaks away from the noise and crowds, so it’s important to normalize taking time for a silent break in a quiet corner. Yes, you can create a more enjoyable and less stressful conference experience.
Here are a few ideas to help you manage stress during the conference:

Pro Tip: Be kind to yourself and acknowledge that needing breaks is perfectly normal. Everyone has a different pace, and it’s important to respect yours.

Beyond its urban allure, Torino is immersed in greenery, with over 300 kilometers of tree-lined avenues and beautiful parks providing serene escapes within the bustling city. Parco del Valentino, situated along the Po River, is a favorite among locals and tourists alike. This expansive park features the picturesque Borgo Medievale, a charming medieval village replica, and the stunning Castello del Valentino, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Insider Tips: Wine Tasting in Torino
Torino is not just a hub for history and culture; it’s also a fantastic destination for wine lovers. The city and its surrounding regions offer a rich tapestry of wine-tasting experiences. Here’s a guide to some of the best places to taste wine in Torino and what you should try:
One of the top spots for wine tasting in Torino is Enoteca Bordò, located in the heart of the city. This cozy venue boasts an extensive selection of regional wines, making it an ideal starting point for your wine-tasting journey. Another excellent choice is Enoteca Parlapa, a charming wine bar known for its knowledgeable staff and great selection of Piedmont wines. It provides a friendly setting perfect for discovering local varieties.
Traditional enoteca Grasso Giovanni e Figli offers a wide range of wines from the Piedmont region. Staff is on hand to guide you through tastings and provide insights into the winemaking process. Situated near Piazza Vittorio Veneto, Cantine Risso is a popular spot among both locals and tourists. It features an extensive selection of wines and often hosts tasting events.
For those who want to get deeper into the world of Barolo and Barbaresco, the Barolo & Friends Wine Club, located in the heart of Torino, is dedicated to promoting wines from the Langhe, Roero, and Monferrato regions. Barolo, known as the “King of Wines,” is a robust red wine made from Nebbiolo grapes, famous for its deep flavors and aging potential, with notes of tar, roses, and dried fruit. Another Nebbiolo-based wine, Barbaresco, offers flavors of cherries, truffles, and spices, and is often more accessible in its youth compared to Barolo.
For a lighter red wine, Dolcetto is known for its fruity character with black cherries and licorice flavors. Barbera wines, characterized by high acidity and low tannins, are versatile and food-friendly, offering red berries and spices notes. For those with a sweet tooth, Moscato d’Asti is a delightful sparkling wine with peach, apricot, and orange blossom flavors, perfect as an aperitif or with dessert.
Gavi, a white wine made from Cortese grapes, is known for its crisp acidity and green apple, pear, and citrus flavors, pairing wonderfully with seafood and light dishes. A lesser-known white wine, Erbaluce di Caluso, offers a unique profile with notes of green apple, herbs, and minerals, making it an excellent choice for those looking to try something different.
To make the most of your wine tasting experience, here are a few tips:
Exploring Torino’s wine scene is a delightful way to experience the local culture and flavors. Cheers to discovering the best wines Torino has to offer. My personal favor is Barolo, known as the King of Wines.

The Italian Branch of the Female Copywriters Meetup, powered by IDEADECO SEO Copywriting Agency, will attend WordCamp Europe 2024. The local team has booked a beautiful villa near Torino, where we will stay for 7 days.
During our stay, we will host a series of free empowering workshops and seminars exclusively tailored for WordPress.com bloggers, content creators, and copywriters. Not finding a session for WordPress.com pro users in WordCamps, we decided to create our own networking event. We can’t wait to meet our Italian fellow bloggers in person and enjoy an enriching experience filled with learning, networking, and inspiration.
Our agency has supported and empowered nearly 2,000 female copywriters and bloggers across Europe to use WordPress.com blogs effectively as a source of income. In Greece alone, 1,500 women have achieved financial independence and are now able to support their families, creating safe environments away from extreme violence.
