If You Can't Measure It, You Can't Scale It

Let's talk numbers today.
I'm jumping right into it!
? How do you measure success in your company?
? How do you measure performance?
How do you know that as a business, you're doing well?
What's that very number you'll get to in terms of sales or customer base that will be satisfactory?
If you can't measure it, you can't scale it. That's my point. Things get remarkably easier to manage when there's a set mark. ??
If your sales team knows exactly how much they ought to bring in per month, they track themselves by themselves. They know where to increase pressure, where to follow up with the prospect better, and what to adjust in time to meet that target.
If your production team knows that above a certain threshold, they'll be liable for wasting raw materials (using 14 bags of flour when 10 would have been enough, for example), they get efficient. Very efficient. They train one another to be more efficient.
If you know that the least number of clients you should have in a month is 6, you don't sit on your hands when you could be sending emails to prospects.

Whatever you set a measure to will thrive.
- Because you know when you've done enough.
- You know when you've not done enough.
- You know what to shift to reach that mark.
- You know what to delete if it's keeping you from that mark.
I know a person who says to get 20 leads, you must reach 200 people. To get 50 leads, you must reach 500 people. So he sets himself on a mission to be in touch with a target number of prospects per week. If his business grows, it won't be an accident. Things that grow by accident are not sustainable; that success cannot be repeated. If his business succeeds, it will be in keeping with a set mark.
So today, set the marks.
For different areas of your business, put marks, put numbers in place. So you'll know when you're hitting it, and when you're not.
Cheers to Monday!
Cheers to well-defined targets.

Set a date for when you're getting the book off to an editor. Then work towards that mark. It'll even PROPEL you. Thank you, Nkechi.
