If you can't imagine it, you can't do it
Today I'm veering a little off my beaten track and into new territory...
I want to talk about how people think. This is a topic that fascinates me, and one of my mentors (and former client) Paul Atherton says that everything is created twice. The first time it's created it's created in the mind, and then when this has taken place it's created in reality.
I used to wonder what he meant by this, as you know I'm quite a literal person I take things at face value and I was wondering how my mind was physically making things... Seriously! You're possibly laughing, or maybe just smirking at the thought of me imagining my brain with a shovel and making sandcastles on the beach.
And as I type it, you have the visual spring into your mind - you're imagining it.
But, and this is a nice but, only 67% of people are audio-visual, and there are a lot of people who struggle to imagine things for reasons like brain fog, injury, headaches etc.
When it comes to marketing things like planners, courses, toolkits and journals etc, you have to help your buyer to imagine what they're buying.
You need mock-ups.
Mock-ups help your buyer imagine your products. And help your sales pages convert better.
You'll have noticed my planner cover mock-ups, my course mock-ups and others, to help you imagine what sometimes looks like just paper, but is the secret to unlocking your dreams.
Enjoy!
