You Cannot Fail Unless You Give Up

I don't know about you, but there are times when I feel so challenged that I think, heck with it. I will just quit. Who needs this hassle?
I am then reminded of a lesson I learned a long time ago from my father. Quitting isn't an option. As long as you are alive, you have to keep going.
That doesn't mean, however, that you must always stick with a path that is no longer working for you. I stayed in a dysfunctional marriage longer than I should have because I was loath to leave.
I eventually realized, however, that staying would be detrimental to my personal health and well-being. Ultimately, I walked away. I don't consider that experience a "failure" at all. I consider it a valuable learning experience.
It was my thinking about the idea of not giving up that inspired this video.
Life is always about learning. It is about figuring out what works and what doesn't.
When faced with challenges at work or at home, facing them is better than hiding from them. In fact, hiding from them only delays the inevitable.
We all have our individual challenges. No one is immune. No one has been granted a free pass that makes them exempt from the natural ups and downs of life.
The difference between those who tackle their challenges and those who succumb to them is often one of attitude. Henry Ford said, "If you think you can, or you think you can't, either way, you are right."
What do you believe about your ability to overcome temporary setbacks and the appearance of failure? Every successful individual from Albert Einstein to Abraham Lincoln to Walt Disney (and many others) suffered individual failures, humiliations, and disappointments. Every one of them persevered in spite of those challenges. They never lost sight of their big vision for themselves and for the world. They never gave up.
If you are experiencing a setback right now, that's okay. It's temporary. Just keep going.

7 年"Success" cannot teach you how to grow and develop. Only "failure" can. So fail often and as much as possible. You'll be that much farther aheadof the game.
True but there is a fast way and a slow way to get there and most people don't understand it so they continue to fail and that can lead to discouragement. My advice is to find a system that works and stick with it until you master it, unless it isn't resonating with you, then move on and find another one. But always make sure that it can be tweaked to fit your business, your personality, your skills, and your passions, otherwise it will never work in the long run.
