If you can not wait for Microsoft Lists anymore, you can do this...

Just go to your SharePoint Site from app launcher and adjust the URL as seen below...

Instead of sharepoint.aspx change it into lists.aspx, so you would see the page, where you can create a new list.

There are templates of lists, choose one, and define where it should be save...

By clicking on the Lists (see image above) you will land to the Lists startpage. The URL looks like your OneDrive's URL with List.aspx at the end...
