Twitter Releases Much-Anticipated Feature
It's finally happening!???
Last week Twitter announced that an 'edit tweet' feature is in the works for the platform. Twitter bosses say that once the feature is available, users will be able to edit their tweets for up to 30 minutes from posting. Users can only edit their tweets five times within this period.
The reason the update is being conducted in this way is due to concerns from users?that the feature could be?abused to facilitate misinformation?(e.g. politically). The platform's experts are currently observing user behaviour in an effort to minimise any weirdness, scams?or false information - and will use this information to determine any changes that may need to be made, such as the amount of edits allowed or the time frame.?
?You'll also be able to see that edited tweets have a label attached to them, with the option to go in and view the history of the tweet and all of its changes.?
The update will roll out first to Twitter Blue subscribers in New Zealand, then will be pushed to users in Australia, Canada and the U.S once Twitter?learns more about?user behaviour.?
?? Weekly Bitesize tip ??
Having a strong understanding of your target audience is essential when marketing your product or service online.?
Who are your audience??What are their interests, needs, and desires? Where do they spend their time?
To identify and interpret the needs of?your customers, you may want to conduct market research.??This can be as simple as sending a survey or poll to?some of your existing customers. You'll use this data to create?buyer personas?and a customer journey, which predicts the steps a potential customer takes on the path from anonymous shopper to loyal purchaser.
You'll want to define customer segments, based on factors like age, gender, occupation, income, location, and interests. With your ideal customer in mind, you can begin to create targeted marketing campaigns that pique their interests.?
And don't forget customer feedback, i.e., google reviews: this is a great source of data you can use to improve your offerings and your brand's customer experience, as well as your reputation as a brand.
