You Can Now Edit Longform Videos On YouTube
Starfish Ad Age
We are a revolutionary digital advertising company here to help businesses thrive.
YouTube rolled out a significant update that lets creators edit longer videos, finally addressing a long-standing limitation on the platform. Also, YouTube is improving comment moderation in YouTube Studio, making content management more effortless.
Editing Long Videos
Creators can now edit videos longer than 6 hours, which was previously impossible due to system capacity constraints. This is great for live streamers who often create long content.?
As YouTube says:
“Previously, videos longer than 6 hours were not eligible for editing, which creators, especially live streamers, complained about. We’re happy to announce we’re removing the length limit, although long videos may take longer to process.”
This allows you to edit long replays, remove unwanted parts, and refine your content without worrying about length limits. Although processing time for edits on long videos will be longer, the control over content is a big win.
Enhanced Comment Moderation
In addition to editing capabilities, YouTube is improving comment moderation in YouTube Studio. Creators can now select and manage multiple comments at once in the “Published” tab, which was only possible in the “Held for Review” tab before. This should make moderation easier for channels with many comments, saving creators time.?
Anything that makes the life of a creator easier is a positive thing. What do you think about these updates??
