You can make a difference!

You can make a difference!

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season! I feel so lucky because I get an extended holiday because my birthday was yesterday!

I have an announcement to make that is important to me, and I think it will be relevant to the Sipology movement.

As many of you may know, I am not only the president and founder of Sipology, but I’m also a wife and a mother, and I have the best husband in the word, Hatem, who is also Sipology’s CEO.

When Hatem asked me what I wanted for my birthday this year, I thought about our community here at Sipology. I thought of all of you and how hard our community works to support each other. This inspired me to do something a little different.

2019 was a special year for Sipology, but it also was a particular year for me. In 2018 and into 2019, I struggled with depression. I won’t sugar coat this – it was terrible. And it was shocking.

I never thought that would be me.

I have this successful tea business, I have three amazing children and an incredible husband, and I have many people who support me just as you support each other, every single day.

How could this have happened?

Up until then, I had thought that I understood mental health. I understood it intellectually, but it wasn’t until I dealt with this challenge firsthand, that I finally realized what it means to honestly struggle with mental health.

It’s been over a year since my mental health challenge, and it’s still not easy to talk about, but I need to share this with you.

I feel that, at Sipology, we always talk about support and encouragement, and being there for each other. This is a community that builds each other up that works hard to motivate each other, and we share much love.

But it wasn’t until last year that I understood how important our community is and the opportunity that we have to support those who deal with mental health challenges in a real way.

As odd as it may sound, I am profoundly grateful for having had that experience because it helped me to understand the power that we each hold to make a difference in lives in the lives of our friends and family and the lives of the wider community.

For those of you who are suffering from mental health, I’ve been there, and I get it.

And that’s why, for my birthday this year, I decided to do something unique and to develop a special birthday tea, that will support services for those who deal with mental health challenges.

Ladies and gentlemen, I’m so proud to announce Sipology’s brand new and exclusive Chocolate Fudge Cake Tea.

For ONE WEEK ONLY starting right now, when you purchase a bag of this special birthday tea, two dollars will be donated to Crisis Text in the United States, or Kids Help Phone in Canada.

This Chocolate Fudge Cake tea has a rooibos base, which means that you steep it for 6 or 7 minutes, and it’s so decadent.

It’s only available for the next week, and it comes with a unique challenge for every one of you.

It’s time for our community to do what we do best – to come together and support each other over a cup of tea.

I challenge you to have an open, honest, and frank conversation about the impact of mental health on our families and communities because I know that every single one of you has been impacted one way or another by mental health issues.

And through this tea, we can get the word out about these two incredible and hardworking organizations, Crisis Text Line and Kid’s Help Phone, that are on the front line of this issue.

The people who work at these organizations are the ones that our kids and our spouses and our best friends call when they are beginning to lose hope,     and I know this because I’ve been there.

So, let’s get out there, share some tea, and be the difference in the life of someone suffering from mental health.

Thank you so much for your kindness, love, and support, and for being a part of this dynamic community. I am so grateful for every one of you, and I can’t wait to watch you guys make some magic happen in the next week.

I'm on a mission to protect people's mental health, one article at a time, one speech at a time, one message at a time.

Sipology by Steeped Tea is a PROUD supporter of brain health.

$2.00 from every bag of Pineapple Potion, Peachy Keen, and Unicorn Kisses will go to Kids Help Phone and Crisis Text Line.
