You Can Make A Difference
Remember the Most Important Part of Margaret Mead's Quote
Many of us feel that we are living through times that threaten everything we value. It’s easy to wonder what difference a single person could make.
Throughout my life, if I felt this way, I thought of Margaret Mead's quote:
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."
It’s the second part of the quote that resonates most deeply with me and is the most striking: "Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." Change doesn’t begin with massive institutions or faceless crowds. It starts with a handful of dedicated individuals, aligned by purpose and driven by conviction.
In my experience—whether launching a venture, tackling a complex challenge, or solving a seemingly insurmountable problem—success has always begun with a small, focused group.
If we want to make a difference, we need to start where real impact happens: in the power of the few.
