YOU CAN BE MAGICAL REGARDLESS

This Friday, I was at the Kumasi Sports Stadium to watch the Ghana Black Stars play Madagascar in the 2026 World Cup Qualifier.?

I hadn’t been to the stadium in a long while and in town for another program, I jumped on the idea by my friends to go watch them play.?

Madagascar wasn’t a known football nation so our expectations were that, this was a walk-over match and the Black Stars were going to score as many goals.?

But, to our surprise, it almost ended a goalless match but for the 96-minute equaliser from William Inaki.

And while we watched the match, it was obvious the star man of the Madagascar team was their 26-year-old Defender (No. 5 ) - Rajo Razafindraibeharinuhanta.?

He was a smallish-looking defender with no favorable height. Nonetheless, he exhibited confidence, skills, and craft at controlling and clearing all the balls that were meant to create goal-scoring opportunities for the Black Stars.?

No Black Star player made it past him in the 1st half of the game and did not pass their defence until he was substituted in the 2nd half following his earlier yellow card (for the fear of a potential red card).?

He was never an obvious pick for a great player before kickoff. You were right to discount and discredit his influence if you have seen him during the anthem parade. But he won the commendation of everyone sitting next to us.?

When he was substituted, we clapped for him. He was the star man of the team and did an excellent job protecting their goalpost. But for him, the scoreline may have been different.?

So, as you head into another week, be prepared to show what you are made of regardless of the challenge you face.?
