You Can Help Stuff the Bus to Feed Hungry Families
rabbittransit will offer a vehicle to “Stuff the Bus” for a Fall Food Drive to benefit LifePath Christian Ministries (formerly the York Rescue Mission). LifePath’s goal is to collect 100,000 pounds of donated food to support its ministries in the coming year.
A rabbittransit bus will be available on Friday, November 17, and Saturday, November 18, at the Giant Food Stores located at 1255 Carlisle Road, York, from 10:00AM to 6:00PM. Members of the public are invited to stop by and offer a donated non-perishable food item. Find a full list of need items at bit.ly/LifePath_FoodDrive.
The Stuff the Bus event coincides with National Hunger and Homelessness Week, November 11- November 19, which is held each year the week before Thanksgiving. “This week is the perfect opportunity for someone already shopping at GIANT to hop on the bus and drop off a canned good to benefit someone in need. We are thankful for the opportunity to be able to offer space to collect donations,” comments Richard Farr, rabbittransit Executive Director.
“Our mission at LifePath Christian Ministries is to love, honor and serve our community, and we’re very grateful for the generosity of our partners and local businesses in helping us achieve this mission,” said Matthew Carey, LifePath Christian Ministries CEO. “We serve nearly 165,000 meals each year, so our Fall Food Drive is a great way for individuals to get involved and help us to bring joy and comfort to thousands of homeless and hungry families.”
