You Can Have Empowered Emotions

As a healer and coach, I am confronted frequently with beautiful souls who are mired in the chaos of their emotions. It's no wonder so many are feeling desperate. Isolation, loneliness, fear of Covid, fear of death, infrastructure cyber attacks, us vs them, labor shortages, food and goods backlogs and shortages and inflation. It's enough to make someone want to put their head in the ground and not come up until it's all over.

But for many of us, the reality is that the narrative being espoused by the media and groups of vocal people is not representative of our individual lives. There is so much "noise" out there that is driven by fear, and if we are not careful it can overcome our personal lives.

Are you feeling sad, lonely, fearful, helpless and depressed or are you feeling joyful, abundance, action oriented, hopeful and inspired? If your emotions are of the negative group, I want you to understand that they really don't have to be. I know if may feel like that statement is false, but I see transformations frequently and the shifts, as a result of an abundant mindset, can fuel success almost overnight. Feeling happier, more creative, more excited about possibilities, etc.

There are a number of things that one can do to begin to shift their negative emotions. What is important for you to grasp is that we are talking about a lifestyle shift, not just trying something a couple of times and then going back to our old ways. Commitment and action is necessary for real change to occur, but if you are willing to commit and take action the future you will embrace can be down right extraordinary.

So what are some of the tools I can give you now to start on a new journey; one of joy, abundance and success.

  • Disengage in all forms of media. You can engage for a bit just to stay informed, but spending hours everyday in the fear based negative story lines over and over will put anyone over the top. There is only so much negativity any of us can manage. Don't immerse yourself in negativity. Why would you?
  • Recognize the actuality of your life. Have you adopted a narrative that doesn't apply to you based on potential outcomes, but not actual outcomes. Far too many of us spend much too much time weaving stories in our heads about what ifs, and they never actually arrive. We spend all of this time in negative possibilities about things that never occur. Why not adopt a mindset that you will deal with difficulties if, and only if, they arrive.
  • Get help from a professional who can guide you on your healthy lifestyle journey. A coach, healer, psychologist or any other professional that resonates with you. I, being a coach and healer, invest frequently in staying mentally, emotionally and physically healthy as I know that my quality of life is dependent on my holistic health practices.
  • Stop watching movies and reading books that make you feel bad. Why do you want to feel bad? Read and watch uplifting and inspirational books and movies. A good mystery and thriller is great once in a while, but if you are struggling with optimism and feeling joy now is not the time to entertain yourself with more negativity.
  • Engage in actions that make you feel good. Maybe you like to exercise, volunteer, engage in a specific hobby or learn about new and interesting things. Take the time to fill part of your available time doing things you enjoy. Don't fill your day entirely with I have to. Do you really have to?
  • Find the silver lining in the disappointments. This mindset is so powerful. Every time something doesn't work out the way we wanted it to, it give us opportunities to explore why it didn't work out, and it opens other opportunities to us. With every choice we make and every opportunity we accept, we close the door to other choices and opportunities. What doors and opportunities might open up that you weren't expecting?

You all have a spirit that wants to be filled with love, peace and happiness. You can create that for yourself. The journey might take some time, but once you have navigated your way through the challenges, it is so worth it. YOU CAN BE HAPPY.
