It is important to remember that we don't live to work, we work so that we can live. Even though work is a big part of our time,?there is more to life than work. We work so that we can live happier, fulfilled, more engaged lives. “In our always-on world, balance is a very personal thing, and only you can decide the lifestyle that suits you best.”

?You need to understand the importance of balancing of balancing work and life.The answer is as simple but to reach at the balance it requires a lot of effort.

First you need to understand the reason behind work life balance and why we need to do effort to balance it.

??Work life balance means less stress.

??Work life balance maintain your mental health.

??Work life balance ensure your physical health and well being.

??Work life balance increase your productivity.

??Work life balance improves your relationship.

??Work life balance increases engagement at work.

??Work life balance increases Creative thinking.

??Work life balance bring real happiness and fulfilment.

??Work life balance brings higher level of success.

Achieving a Work life balance can be a challenge, but this article should help you to make a start. Before you can make things better, you need to understand the scenario. First you need to know where you are, then where you want to be, Think about how you would like your life to look and whether your work life balance is unhealthy or not?

For this you can regularly checking your work life balance by following 5 Steps:-

?? Pause - Ask yourself: what’s currently causing me stress or unhappiness? How is that affecting my work and personal life? What am I prioritising? What am I losing out on??We often don’t take the time to reflect on work until there’s a major life event such as the birth of a child or the loss of someone close to us. But just pausing and thinking about your priorities can help you discover whether the way you’re living and working is right for you.

??Pay attention to your feelings - ?Now you’re more aware of your current situation, how does it make you feel? Are you fulfilled and happy, or angry and resentful? Being aware of your feelings can help you decide which changes you want to make.

?? Reprioritise - ?Think about what needs to change. For example, you might want to ask yourself if working long hours is worth losing out on family time, or whether working weekends is worth losing out on your social life.

?? Consider your alternatives - Is there anything at work you can change to meet your new priorities?

?? Make changes - ?Maybe that’s asking for flexible hours, making sure you use all your annual leave or not checking your emails at the weekend, for example.??

Once you will identifies your current situation then you need to decide what kind of life you are looking by answering these questions to yourself-

  • What would be the ideal balance between work and home?
  • How would you like to spend your time?

Now the time comes to help yourself- It can be difficult or impossible to stand up for yourself at work if you’re precariously employed or worried about losing your job. Make sure you know your rights?(see below) and see if any of the tips feel safe for you to try.

??????Managing time effectively

??????Focus on your Financial health-if you are worrying about money, you won’t be able?on focusing rest of the stuff-You need to prioritize everything.

??????Focus on your relationship Relationship

??????Going in a holiday is a great idea.

??????Get some real sleep with no worries.

??????Spend time with your loved ones.

Last but not the least : You need to Accept that there is no 'perfect' work-life balance –don’t take too much stress on it.Try to maintain the balance as much as you can do.
