When the head of perhaps the most famous AI company in the world drops a line like that, folks take note.?

In fact, last week’s digital roundtable on AI in wealth management kicked off with a nod to Sam Altman’s mic-drop quotation. Yet the gathered experts see incredible potential when it comes to artificial intelligence and the many ways they see it transforming the industry — from freeing up staff time to helping advisors brainstorm.?

As Andrew Altfest, CEO of FP Alpha put it, “If you're a business leader and you're looking at the next five years and you're not thinking about AI or how it's going to transform your business … you're crazy.”?

In other words, it is the end of the world as we know it — but these experts feel just fine about it.
