Are you booked and busy or peaceful and paid?

Do you ever feel like you're hustling too hard? in your business? but not seeing the clients or contracts that match that effort??

?I’ve been there, done that, got the stress-induced headache to prove it.?

But I have been more intentional about looking at the opportunities to speak, emcee and train others on how to use their voice to grow their business.??

In the beginning I was saying YES to everything because I needed the money (even if it was well below my fee) or worse wasn’t even negotiating my fees for fear of losing the opportunity altogether.?

Then after lots of sleepless nights, low paying (and lets be real FREE speaking) engagements and clients beating me down for a discount? for a verbal business card I made a vow to no longer be booked and busy but I decided to become Peaceful and Paid.?

It’s a mantra that allows me to be more intentional and strategic about what gets my YES, time, attention and energy as a business owner.

Here is one trick I use to be peaceful and paid.?

Stop negotiating your "No": Picture this: You're juggling more balls than a circus clown on caffeine, and suddenly someone tosses you another one labeled "exposure." Before you say yes or get pissed off take a breath and ask yourself:

1. Does this align with my goals??
2. Is the exposure they are offering in front of my ideal client??
3. Have I been paid once or even multiple times for the same service by another client??

Depending on your answers you know if it's time to say "Thanks, but no thanks." Your time and energy are precious commodities – spend them wisely.

This is one way I stay peaceful and paid.?
