Who are YOU Becoming
“It is not what we get, but who we become, what we contribute, that gives meaning to our lives.” — Tony Robbins
Are you looking at other people and wishing you had what they have? You don’t know their story, their struggle, their mistakes, their pain, or the hundreds of hours of improvements they’ve had to make every single day to get to where they are.
Instead of comparing, start working on who YOU are becoming. Start creating and working on YOUR success story. Shift your focus from them to YOU. What’s your story, what are your skills, what is your passion? What have you spent hours improving?
Take inventory of who you are today compared to yesterday, compared to last week, last month, and last year. Has there been improvement? If so, fantastic, celebrate it and keep building on those successes. If not, no worries. Decide today to create a plan to get?YOU?where you want to be.
All it takes is a plan. A plan to become the best YOU possible. A plan to learn and grow, and develop who you want to be. A plan to accomplish what you want to achieve.
Do YOU Have a Plan
“Unless commitment is made, there are only promises and hopes; but no plans.”- Peter Drucker
Start developing and working on your success plan for the next 5 years. Start writing your vision for where you’ll be ten years from now. The more detail you include, the better off you’ll be.
Unfortunately, too many people walk through life with no clear destination in mind. They’re like a ship with no sail or rudder, tossed around going wherever the wind blows.
You, however, can know all the time where you’re going and how you’re going to get there because you will have a plan. A 5-year plan. Start by asking a few questions like:
Who do I want to be 5 years from now? What kind of person am I? What’s important to me? What do my marriage, my family, and my friendships look like? Where do I want to live?
What do I want to accomplish? What does my income look like, my savings, my vacations, my adventures?
Your plan will morph and change over time. It will change as you learn and grow, and as you understand who you’re becoming, where you want to go, and what you want to accomplish.
Every year you’ll look back at who you were the year before, and you won’t even recognize yourself because of how much you’ve grown. All because you stuck to your plan.
Are YOU Asking the Right Questions.
“We thought that we had the answers; it was the questions we had wrong.” — Bono
Stop spending your time and energy, asking the wrong questions that create doubt and negativity. Questions like:

These questions consume way too much of your time, energy, positivity, and motivation. Instead, change your questions to who, what, when, and how. Such as:
Spend your time and energy, finding answers that will move you closer to your goals, closer to your vision, closer to your success.
Are YOU Taking Action.
“Do you want to know who you are? Don’t ask. Act! Action will delineate and define you.” ―Thomas Jefferson
Taking action is what creates the momentum you need to achieve your goals and dreams, and become successful in life. You won’t get where you want to be, without deciding to take action every day.
Successful people take responsibility for their?actions?and, more importantly, for their mistakes. It’s about being able to take responsibility for the good, the bad, the wins, and the losses.
We love to take credit for our successes, but we are slow to take responsibility for our failures, which is how we learn and grow. Its were real successes take root and flourishes.
Responsibility is not something you do — it’s how you think and ACT. When you’re truly responsible for your daily actions, you believe that your success is up to you,?you own it.
Taking action daily is about waking up every morning, and before you start your day, taking the time to write down the three most important priorities of your day. The three things that if you were to accomplish them, they would be?significant?wins for the day.
Decide when you leave for work that?“no matter what”?those three things are getting done today.
Resolve in your mind that until those three things are completed, you’re not going home today. Once you’ve completed the three priorities, Celebrate the win. I’m serious, celebrate it, out loud. Have a personal pep rally!
Now you get to go home excited and pumped that you’ve accomplished more in one day than most people accomplish in a month.
Conclusion
If you don’t have a vision, you’re going to be stuck in what you know. And the only thing you know is what you’ve already seen. — Iyanla Vanzant
It’s time to start and use what you’ve been given, to make your dreams happen. You don’t need to know all of the answers or be more than you already are. Just start taking small steps, start taking action and working towards your goals.
Start filling in the blanks of your vision, of who you’re becoming, and where you’re going. Start working on the new YOU today, and everyday. Start today making progress towards who you’re becoming.
Just imagine, where would you be right now if you’d started a year ago?
It’s time; take action. Say yes and start moving towards the vision of your future today. A year from now you’re going to so excited that you did!
