Having Clarity When You Speak Or Present
Since my last newsletter I've travelled around Auckland presenting at about ten BNI chapters to help members be more effective and memorable in their 60 second pitches and what strikes me as I listen to business owners present their business, is they simply say too much.
They give you 60 seconds to pitch your business.
But that doesn't mean you have to fill 60 seconds with as many words as possible.
Why?
Because it's about your audience UNDERSTANDING your message.
Remember that the art of a good communicator is not measure by the time it takes to deliver your message but the clarity in which it's presented.
And it applies to your videos, podcasts, elevator pitches.
Less is More is the best advice I got when I worked in radio broadcasting.
What do you want the audience to think, feel or do.
Choose one of those, the next time to present or pitch your business at networking.
Want To Win Best Pitch At Networking?
Does this sound like you when you stand up to speak at networking?
?and maybe win best pitch??
?If you attend networking events like BNI, TNG, Venus, then I'd like to invite you to my group online pitch workshop where I'll teach you how to...
?It's a fun two-hour workshop where you'll learn how to prepare your pitches each week.?
?Here's what a few members say about it.

?"Really enjoyed it. I’ll be trying to implement some of it. It was excellent"
Richard Foulkes, Director, We-Capture, Auckland
?"I found the workshop very beneficial. I’ve always had good structure with my presentations but struggled with creativity. Now that I have a clear framework, my creativity issues have been solved."
Jeremy Caird, Director, Savawatt, Auckland
?"I loved the workshop - great value and so good to be reminded about the importance of a pitch that stands out. And preparation is key to that.
Two key takeaways: focus on one thing or one subject and break the norm with some activity or props"
Willi Olsen, The Insurance Specialist, Hamilton

Why I'm A Coach
If you're a coach you'll understand this feeling.
The feeling of complete joy when a student follow's your program and gets the result.
But it's even better when you can see their confidence go through the roof.
As you probably know, I do video training to help small business owners package their message to build authority and trust on social media.
Showing them what to say (content strategy), how to say it (presenting and delivering), how to shoot it (on a mobile phone and looking professional) and how to distribute it (on LinkedIn).
Just this week, a student posted her first video on LinkedIn.
Watch her first video below.
If you know of other people who want confidence on camera to present their business on LinkedIn, please refer me.
Clear Space
2 年I am always miss understood ?? they do say less is more, but seem to be trapped in that realm, the information that is been conveyed is falling on death ears, or is it the fact that my idea is not worth the financial investment.
