Are you being consistent in your approach?

Are you being consistent in your approach?

These 2 images are hanging up in my workspace right by the light switch so that I can see them every day. Of course, it would be easy to be pass by reading them just like anything else that blends into the background that becomes common. That's how the brain works; it strives to minimize energy so the familiar ends up on autopilot unless we purposefully pay attention to it.

People regularly ask me for "secret hacks" for wellness. Truthfully, there's very little that's a hack when it comes to wellness. Social media is FULL of nonsense (might I say bullsh*t) that is promoted as a hack. Sometimes hacks are genius and a huge workaround or time saver. Thumbs up to those!

But, hacks that are intended to get you to results without putting in the effort are not all they claim to be.

Because, ultimately, one of the biggest hacks is no hack at all. It's about showing up and putting in the work, over and over again. As leaders, we all know that consistency grows skills, consistency grows team culture, consistency and attention to competency grows results.

We don't need muscle confusion for workouts (ahh, the BS on social). We don't need detox teas (ahh, the BS on social). There's no such thing as adrenal fatigue (yep, really). We need to understand the right strategies that help grow our wellness capabilities and repeat them over and over again. That, my friend, is the secret to success.

At Tigers Eye Life, we talk about "loving the process" in becoming healthier. It's not a process to get THROUGH but is one to get INTO. The small steps of showing up for oneself over and over again. Consistency grows strength. It grows flexibility. It grows a better functioning metabolic system. It grows pride and it grows confidence. All of which is the human destiny.
