First of all, a massive thank you to everyone who subscribed to the BOLD newsletter!?

We've hit 300+ subscriptions in the first week, and I'm genuinely grateful for each one of you.?

I'm excited to share new insights on embracing boldness this year.

Some of you have asked, why BOLD?

In a world saturated with AI and online noise, standing out with a unique voice is crucial.?

Whether you're job searching, employed, or running a business, people are always looking you up!

Being BOLD means being clear about who you are and what you do, without hesitation.?

Establishing a strong personal brand internally and externally is key.

So, what does BOLD stand for???

B - Be BOLD

O - Own your GIFTS

L - Leave a legacy

D - Define your message

Today, let's chat about a recurring theme in my conversations - being BOLD on LinkedIn.

I recently met someone at an event, a potential great connection.?

They asked, "Can we connect on LinkedIn?"?

Before I could respond, they pulled out their phone, added me, and complimented my profile.

Gone are the days of business cards and slow responses post networking events; now, it's about instant LinkedIn connections.?

It reminded me that in those moments, there's no time to update your profile.?

Thankfully, mine was current, allowing us to connect right away.

How's your LinkedIn game?

Ask yourself:

- Is your profile picture up to date?

- Have you completed your “about” section?

- Do you regularly connect with new people including colleagues, business contacts etc?

- Any recommendations on your profile?

These are things you can do on the go. Waiting until you need your LinkedIn profile might be too late.

While I don't offer LinkedIn profile audits, there are plenty of experts who can help you.?

Having recently participated in LinkedIn's creator program, they emphasised the importance of a complete profile.

Remember "It’s not bragging if it is based on facts," and "accomplishments do not speak for themselves."

If self-promotion is a challenge for you, you're not alone. But if you don't share what you do, how will people know?

You might be able to help someone, and they won't even know you exist.

I totally agree… you have to be BOLD on LinkedIn to get your message across who you are and what you want. Social media is full of information so you must grab people’s attention otherwise you will be lost in a oversaturated field of business information. This year I dare to be #BOLD.
