Are You In Balance?

At work, how much attention do you give to your body?

A balanced body will often facilitate greater presence, creativity and energy.

The world of the mind gets a lot of attention, with new frameworks, concepts and insights for you to "think" about.

How often do you feel into your body to understand its intelligence, its insight or its message for your situation?

The latest research shows that we have neurons in our stomach and heart as well as the brain.?

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) works to release constriction in our organs, which store energy, as well as different types of emotions and memory. Indian philosophy describes the ability to cultivate "prana" through our energy points which is the equivalent of "chi" through our meridians in TCM.

All traditions point to a nexus between mind, body and spirit.

The body historically has been seen as a physical tool with little to no innate intelligence. Science and mysticism have aligned recently to show the integration, and how much our mind - body harmony matters.

Movement, nutrition, hydration, mindfulness and our intent/ purpose, are all areas where you can improve your overall balance.

The challenge is that there are so many gurus, advisors with the latest fad, that its hard to know where to start (or end). The fundamental rule of health is, does this practice or activity improve your overall mind, body, spirit harmony and balance?


You could consider:

  • How do I feel good when I do this thing?
  • Am I doing this activity from a place of love or fear?
  • Does this practice bring me closer to the ideal balance in my life?


We are all a work in progress, and life is an experiment to find what works uniquely to bring the balance you seek.

Working with your body as an important part of your overall unique self can bring greater harmony to your life.
