"You baked your cake, now lie in it"?

"You baked your cake, now lie in it"

I love a mixed metaphor or a butchered cliche.

This one fits the all-too-common dilemma I encounter with B2B sales people.

You earn decent money (sometimes even low 6-figures).

You sell a quality product for a fine company.

You've got a good boss.

You like your colleagues and your clients (well, most of them).

But you see storm clouds on the horizon.

You're concerned about the risk of staying where you are.

You're selling in a "great job, crappy career" scenario.

Amazon or technology will crush your industry.

The next recession will slam you.

If this is you, remember: "you baked your cake, now lie in it!"

As in, you create your livelihood.

You chose your job.

You have another choice.

Keep doing what you're doing.

OR choose to pivot into a different, better sales career.

Choose a destination sales career in an industry with a strong longevity outlook.

Hint: commercial insurance broking is such a career.

I know someone who can help you explore the commercial insurance broker career.

(But now I'm selling...)
