Are you applying marketing strategies without understanding buyer-persona ?

Let say you have a product or service that may have different buyers, and they too have different 'buyer's journey', now just think if you apply a single marketing strategies then it won't be applicable for your all kinds of buyers.

That's why we need to learn about buyer-persona means "buyer persona is a “fictional” representation of an actual user or set of users and is applied in the early stages of product development.

Persona contains information about buyer such as "characteristics, motivations, goals, challenges, environmental influences, education, internal information that you may deduce from buyer's online presence".

Why it's important ?

  • Once you understand the right kind of customer's and their needs and nature. You can easily target them separately.
  • Prospected set of customers can influence your marketing strategies.

Let's say you are starting any educational startup !

Now ! - Buyer Persona depends on what kind of training you are providing.

  1. Students - Well, only Psychology background students will be interested in such workshops, so you can target them specifically by providing them insights about how this workshop can build their resume and increase chance of getting good internship. If you are doing workshop on REBT, then try to upload as much content on REBT such that students may find it easily. (You can post it on Linkedin as article, post on Medium, post your knowledge in the form of Quora-Answers and at the end of your post try add CTA (Call to Action - your workshop link)
  2. Professionals - Professional like Psychologist, HR professional, Psy-Topic Trainers, Specific Therapist Expert, Sub-division of Psychologist like (Child Psychologist, Organizational Psy), Once you sought out, time to apply different strategy for them.   3. Administrators (College Dean, Principle, H.O.Ds) - Targeting them is bit difficult but not impossible, Learn basics of B2B etiquettes before approaching them. They are very potential customer, because if they are happy with your workshop they can easily promote it to thousands of their Psychology students. Think Now !
