Are you an ANNOTATIVE features CAD Operator?
I can't write the same book over and over again... let it go, once it's gone!

Till 2009, AutoCAD had no annotative features. If You needed to create a detailed blow-up from a drawing and publish it in a different scale, YOU would need to copy Texts &/or Mtexts, Leaders and Dimensions, Attributes & Symbolic Blocks and - of course - Hatch Patterns to another Layer...
9 Versions later, some AutoCAD users still oppose to annotative features: some say that they find no real benefit, others claim that they can't use it because of some limitations and that's our topic on this post
Working with Annotation Features, saves time & human error, it's flexible and made to overcome 99% of the obstacles when moving between scales.
MTEXT
The same annotation at a different Annotation Scale will easily change location, justification and/or rotation angle
DIMENSIONS & Multileaders
Same dimensions @ different Annotation Scale will need some of the text to be relocated and naturally, the value of dimspace will be different for each annotation scale so that in the case of displaying 2 Viewports with 2 different scales, the dimspace will compensate for this showing the same space @ the paper
SYMBOLS
Using Annotative Blocks will offer symbology abilities: at different scales the symbol will plot at the same dimensions
ATTRIBUTES
Same Block Geometry will offer readability offering Annotative Attributes
HATCH PATTERNS
Using Annotative Hatch You'll be able to have the same density on paper - having a different (Automatically Calculated by AutoCAD) at the Model
What about You? Have You Met Some Difficulties with Annotative Features?

7 年I've just trained my team in how annotative objects work - I've been using it since I knew about it and it makes things much simpler to manage. It does take a while to get your head around it at first - especially if you leave ANNOAUTOSCALE on and start changing the scale in MS.

7 年I was using it. Just highlighting majority. Hell i was embe?ed in my programs before Autodesk was. My point was, universal : new users are not advanced enough and advanced users slowly embrace new features (im old school tallks). Stay sharp and in da game. Regards.

7 年Metadata... unfortunately unused features. Good point though. Regards
