The Money Game
It's been a long, educational, entertaining, uplifting and most of all humbling holiday for me, I trust a lot of great things have happened for you too.
It all comes to an end in about a week.
I sit asking, what's the little I could do for my countries people? What voice will they listen? And would they understand where I’m coming from. I guess its best to start off by summing up my little holiday.
In the past 10 years, I've spent the longest holiday back in my own country, our beautiful country, NAMIBIA. About a month in and I really don't want to leave as I see there is so much more to be done here. So much potential. So many more places to see and people to meet. Our country is seen to be golden from the outside, but our people still struggle to feed. I was actually pretty sad when I saw four granny smith apples going for N$34.00 a pack.
I'm young, my eyes can see, my ears still listen, but my heart bleeds. It is expensive to live in Namibia, there’s so much to keep up with. I mean is it really cheaper to grab a “konyo” 750ml beer?
After reflecting on this and many other concerning things, like the availability of clean drinking water or the lack there of. I thought maybe I should share my thoughts, maybe someone will listen and we can change a couple lives. First I had to get my mind-set right and ready.
Cool, here it goes...
The journey I've been on has got me realising that my failures are my biggest blessings, they've led me to situations that tested my courage, will and ability to act on what I believe, regardless of what the world believes.
It's very exciting living life on the edge feeling like, you're too blessed for the world to have you at your knees begging and pleading for a better life. At some point one realises that the world doesn't owe you anything and as quick as those blessings were given, they can be taken.
So in order to see all these things around me, I had to find the one inside me, I had to know, where I came from, who I am? And If I were a fruit, from what tree and what seed?
So I made way to go see the seed of my tree, Kuku and Tate Kulu . The old don't know much of the world, this new world, but the fundamentals and stories they bring are what the world needs. Compassion, Love, Selflessness, a few great things that land at the top of the list of their "creed". My uncle said to ask them many questions, to make sure I use the time I have to speak to them, value their presence, for its not too long until they become one with the earth again. He said, "The stories they have will go to the grave with them if they aren't told. It is your duty to visit them and just give them time to listen to their stories, your presence is their strength, their stories your blessing" I then realised money isn't a topic that sits with the old. I learnt so much that day spending Christmas 2016 with the family, uncles, aunts and cousins in the field where our mothers were born.
I was caught up hearing the stories of how they were when they were young, the things they did the people around the village and where their parents and their parents came from. The more I asked about them the more I got to realise who I was, who I am. A weight was lifted off my shoulders, I mean now it didn't matter what anyone thought of me, I felt naked in my own skin, raw, tired of armour and layers of thick foreign skin plastered onto me, I didn't want that anymore. It's a lot easier to be yourself if I may add, but first you got to know who you are and where you come from. The quickest way to travel between two points is a straight line, right? How do you get to point B without a route? I mean what's a point B without a point A?
Friendship is key. We spend most of our time with our friends, but if our friends don't encourage our unique being. They form a part of our destruction. It's not their fault, sometimes you just have to build up the courage to stand up for who you are and play your movie according to your script, the script YOU write with whatever tools you're given. We look too much at others for the tools they have and not by what they produce with them, to celebrate and learn with them. Then again we look to little at our own tools, so we try to craft something of life by envy of what others have, so we don't appreciate our blessings.
I must say I am very blessed to have met Stefan Nissen eighteen years ago in a little mining town where both our parents worked, Oranjemund. We still great friends, he is actually sitting next to me right now watching some cricket highlights. Honestly I still don’t know what goes on in cricket. To make a long story longer, he left in grade one, came back in grade three, left in grade four again and we lost touch. Walked into my dorm at Littlewood house, Wynberg Boys High School’s hostel, and there he was with his familia. Yes there was no whatsapp back then and no one expected a 12 year old to have a phone, but there was a great energy that brought us back together, God was doing his thing, as usual, He still is . There is one thing we always had talks about and that was business, making money, lots of it and as time went by the need to make even more grew. I stumbled across a couple business opportunities and shared them with him, to no avail, we were looking for the right one, the one that could help millions of people turn their lives around, make more money and so we too could also make more money. The only way that made sense was network marketing, business in a business for people who don’t have massive capital to start their own businesses. I hope that made sense. To make a long story shorter. Low invest with potential of a high return, if you netWORK.
Timing and placement is key in this industry. Some people wait to see the massive growth, other people simply understand the value of an untapped market. No one is there to pressure you but just to share with you. Some people see it, some people don’t. Its like going to the movies. Some people pay to sit and watch movies, others play in them and get paid for being in them.
Time holds the answers, but it takes will power and action to produce quality results.
If anything educating the people of Namibia on investing correctly is the one way we could eradicate poverty. There had to be a way to bring wall street to main street. I mean there are many different things one could do, but if the people of Namibia knew how to manage the markets the way the banks manage the markets with their money, the returns would be greater and what other better way than forex trading, fill me in if I’m wrong. Recognised as the worlds best kept secret, trading U$5.4trillion a day. For over 2 decades the forex industry has been active but not accessible to the public only big corporations (mostly banks). With the advancements with technology it is now possible to trade forex from the palm of your smart phone. It sounds very simple, but one can lose some or all investment on ones trade account if not well knowledgeable or experienced on the market.
I stumbled across WG and the company made everything clear to me, so I had to share it with Stefan and we just have to share it with you.
They'll do the trading for you, with their experienced team of traders and analysts, whilst you learn how to trade, apply trade signals and by subscribing to their products that have been achieving anywhere from 4% - 69% ROI pm . Past performance doesn’t guarantee future results, but let me ask you one thing, what results are you getting right now? Its okay we can only get judged on what we truly know. Trust me when I found out, I had to find a way out!
Banks: 4-6% ROI a year
Unit trust: 6-9% ROI a year
Best investment company: 15-28% ROI a year
Basically we now have access to returns that one could get joining a hedge fund, but lets be realistic, do we all have $1million dollars net worth and earn $200k dollars a year to join a Billion dollar portfolio/hedge fund to get those high returns? If you said yes and I agree with you, we'd both be wrong. You can’t save your way to wealth you can definitely invest your way there. That’s why you keep hearing the statement:
“The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.”
With equal and fair opportunity I believe, we could slow down or even remove the "thing" which creates the gap between rich and poor.
That "thing" is the lack of knowledge of these investment platforms that empower the rich. Once we give the poor enough access to that kind of knowledge change is inevitable. So long as we all work together on the cause.
Stefan and I have found that opportunity for Namibia and we are enthusiastic to share it. Are you still looking for great returns. Or do you just want to make an extra N$5000/N$10000 a month.
I don’t know about you but I’m tired of hearing that there’s potential. The scary thing is knowing that Potential can remain Potential.
Long live your dreams, but let them live in your reality J
