You always remember your first...
Bryce Main
Multi-genre author, mostly Crime fiction. Scottish. Been writing longer than I’ve been wearing big boy’s trousers.
?I was lucky enough to receive a few very special gifts from Santa this year.
?Nothing, of course, that would change my world.
?Nothing that would change my life.
?But something that would change my perspective.
?Something that would celebrate the publication of my debut crime fiction…A Time for Dying.
?It was a poster.
?It sat inside a frame outside The Stockport Central Library telling all who saw it about the launch, taking place inside the library, of my first ever crime novel.
?In pure egotistical fashion, I wondered whether I could have a copy of the poster to frame as a special gift for Christmas.
?Sometimes the Gods listen.
?Sometimes the family listens.
?And our youngest son, Shaun, heard my wish.
?The result, seen in this photograph, is hanging on one of the walls in our house, put up on Christmas morning.
?Some wishes remain wishes no matter how old you get.
?Others can’t wait to become a reality.
?A Time for Dying is dark, gritty, bloody, intelligent, and humorous in a serious way. It’s everything you want in a crime novel and it’s not like any crime novel you’ve ever read. The only problem is…once you pick it up, you won’t want to put it down again until the killing stops and they’ve caught the guy that nobody has been able to catch…until now
?It’s published and available from my publisher Northodox Press, and available from Amazon, and most good bricks & mortar bookshops.
?Look out for the sequel…sitting next to it soon on a growing number of bookshelves. .
?And watch out for the next poster.
?Hanging next to this one on the wall…
