Well, some of you might be thinking, what a stupid question. If I am reading this, am I not alive?
And, my answer to your question is – DEPENDS!
Let me explain myself – Today morning I was coming back from my walk and suddenly I observed plants on the sides of the pathway. Some of the plants were tall, green, blossoming and growing,
while on the other hand,
some plants were still standing erect but had shed all their leaves and looked bare and dry. They were kind of alive but looked dead.
So, what is the core symptom of being alive – its constant growth, right?
Imagine, if the second category of plants is now given the right environment for growth like manure, water and care, they might again bear fruits and flowers and convert into a green, blossoming plants else they will just wither off and die, isn’t it?
What struck me is the similarity between plants and human beings!
Category one people are those who are growing every single day like the green plants in the park.
They are blossoming by taking chances, trusting people, trusting themselves, taking responsibility of themselves, taking charge of their lives, seeking opportunities, pushing themselves out of comfort zone, being bold, taking decisions, accepting change and taking actions to live an abundant life!
They have a positive and vibrant outlook to life!
On the Contrary, Category two people are the ones who are already dead, just waiting to be buried sometime later in their life!
These people are the ones who wait and hope for things to change, they take pleasure in security, living in comfort zones, complaining and blaming people, circumstances or situations for their state of affairs, spending their time sleeping, in front of tv or browsing social media to distract them and keep them busy, there is no clarity of either short term or long term goals, and they have very convincing stories of why they can’t help being where they are. They live life by default and believe in reacting to whatever comes their way.
My question to you now is – Are you Alive (Category 1) or Dead (Category 2)?
So, the important question now is - can the category 2 people blossom again – and I can very confidently say “YES”, provided they feed themselves with the right ingredients! Ingredients in the form of taking charge of their lives, learning new skills, challenging themselves to step out of their comfort zones, hiring help to show them new perspectives and new ways of living!
What's your story, what's your excuse of not being in Category 1?
