If You Aim at Nothing, You Hit Nothing

"If you aim at nothing, you hit nothing." I heard this while watching a movie recently and it caused me to reflect on the past. It is a modified version of the quote from?Zig Ziglar who said, “If you aim at nothing, you will hit it every time.”

When I consider pursuing big opportunities, I am ultimately flooded with fear, anxiety and doubt. Negative thoughts run through my mind. I am inexperienced. I am unskilled. I am inadequate. This inner dialogue makes it quite clear that I am not good enough. Maybe you have been there too, wondering why even bother when you know you'll miss the target.

What I cannot forget is that throughout my life, I have discovered time and time again that this inner critic is the villain of our story. It is the archenemy of your purpose, knowing that if you just believe, you will realize that you can try new things, you can make new connections, you can learn new skills, and you can succeed.

I don’t know what it is for you, but I know you were created to make a difference in this world. Don’t let the enemy steal the next chapter of your story. Start today and when you fail, try again. When you fall, get back up. Keep running the race. Don’t give up and always remember that you are not alone.?
