EarthScience Information Systems is proud to announce a special talk by our Managing Director, Warwick Wood.??

Warwick is a leader in the scientific and environmental data management industry, who has a background in hydrogeology and geophysics.??

This talk, chosen by a panel of respected industry experts, will be held on day 2 of the Australasian Land and Groundwater Association’s Perth Regional Contaminated Land and Groundwater Conference on the 17th of May, 2024.?

Titled: “Are you AI ready? Ensure you are prepared and ready to use the best of current and future AI platforms for data insights”, Warwick will draw on his experience as he shares the potential AI has in analysing environmental data rapidly through Machine Learning or established statistical techniques. He will explore with delegates the benefits and some of the challenges we must solve when implementing AI securely. Warwick will also explain in his view why today, “AI can be a valued tool to deliver insights not seen before, but it is unlikely to replace traditional analysis methods entirely, given the critical work required by experienced scientists in the detection and remediation of contamination”.??
