I am excited to announce the search for the third CEO of African Leadership Academy, the institution I co-founded 16 years ago.  At African Leadership Group, we have long believed in the importance of developing great institutions that last beyond their founders. I served as the day to day CEO of ALA for the first 10 years and then handed over the reins to my co-founder  Chris Bradford while I remained Board Chair. In 2021, after 6 years of being CEO (and 16 years of building ALA with me), Chris will move into a new role as Chair of the board, ensuring a smooth transition.

The next CEO will take the helm of an immensely influential organisation with a bright future. ALA is already a model educational institution for the African continent; a major global player in youth leadership development; the home of the Anzisha Prize for young entrepreneurs which is creating jobs across Africa; and – perhaps most importantly – the hub of a network of leaders who are already redefining expectations for the continent. Millions of people across Africa are already impacted each day by the work of ALA's young leaders, who are working to bring lasting peace and shared prosperity to Africa. In the years ahead, we will build powerful networks that will accelerate this impact, and share our leadership development and educational practices with organisations across Africa and around the world.
