Team Soldiers' Angels: Marine Corps Marathon 2023
That's right! Soldiers' Angels is excited to announce that we are an official charity partner for this year's 48th running of the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C. on October 29th.
And if you want to run with us, we have a limited quantity of bibs still available!!
This exciting challenge wasn't on our radar... for the organization or for the five staff members that chose to rise to the challenge and register to earn their bibs...?
But...?when a member of our own team faced the struggles of alcoholism that forced her to miss marathons she yearned to compete in, we knew if we made the MCM a goal and stood behind her to keep her on the path to the marathon, we might just keep her on the road to recovery too.
Learn more about Air Force Veteran, Tania and how fitness has become an integral part of her journey to sobriety in our?latest blog here.
If you're interested in joining Team Soldiers' Angels for MCM 2023, we have an?extremely limited?quantity of 10K and Marathon bibs left! To receive your bib, you'll have to commit to raising a minimum of $500 for Soldiers' Angels between now and October. Hurry!?Click through to learn more and register?before we run out of bibs!!
Not a runner??Why not support a runner on our team and help them meet their fundraising goal? Check out our?team page here?to learn more about each runner and contribute to their campaign.
And... I'm sure you wouldn't expect any less from our fun-loving and goofy staff here at Soldiers' Angels... stay tuned for some ridiculous challenges and antics from our runners as they train, mentally prepare, and fundraise for the big event in just 177 days!
Military Appreciation Month is Here!
At Soldiers' Angels, we show our appreciation for our military heroes every single day - but May brings even more opportunities to thank past and present Service Members. Don't miss out - check out our blog post to learn about these important holidays and mark them down on your calendar.
Let's share our gratitude together!
An Award-Winning Collection Drive
A couple of months ago, our Detroit Area Director, Elise Larkin, received a call from a High School student in Wisconsin who stated she had items to donate for deployed Service Members. Camryn and her sister Alyson were on a mission to give back so they started a community service project to benefit military families and deployed service members by collecting needed supplies.
The girls set up collection boxes at local businesses in their community and created posters listing the most-needed items. Their town responded whole-heartedly and the girls ended up collecting so many items their family stuffed their truck and a U-Haul trailer and drove the items from Wisconsin to our team in Detroit!
What's even more impressive is that on their drive to Detroit, these incredible young women learned they won their State Service Competition Award for their collection?and?their project has made them National qualifiers for Family, Career and Community Leaders of America!?

Giving the Gift of Transportation
Giving back to those who have served our country is always a pleasure. Recently, Soldiers’ Angels had the honor of nominating a deserving Army veteran, Vanessa, to receive a refurbished vehicle through Recycled Rides. This amazing gift, generously provided by Recycled Rides, the National Auto Body Council, Caliber Collision, and USAA, was a true life-changer for Vanessa and her family. Vanessa is a proud veteran and loving mother of 4, and it was so rewarding to see her overcome with joy on this very special day. Check out some photos from the event!
Move-In Day!
Soldiers' Angels was able to be there for Chad, a homeless veteran, as he transitioned into VA Supportive Housing in Denver. With your continued support, we provided Chad and his pup with an entire housing pack on move-in day, helping turn his new apartment into a home. Thank you for making it possible for us to support those who have served our country!
