The Yorkshire Invitational 2022 returns to Ilkley, with a trip to The Masters up for grabs for the winners

Yorkshire’s premier Pro-Am returns with a new-for-2022 host, alongside a jam-packed line up filled with European Tour winners - with a trip to The Masters up for grabs for the Pro-Am winners.

Major winner Rich Beem hosts SGH Events’ flagship tournament at Ilkley Golf Club

SGH Events’ flagship Yorkshire golf tournament returns after a star-studded 2021 edition, with Ian Woosnam as host. This year, SGH welcomes one-time Major winner and Sky Sports golf pundit Rich Beem from the US. Beem, most well known for his 2002 PGA Championship upset where he held off Tiger Woods for an emphatic victory is joined by two-time Solheim Cup winning captain Catriona Matthew,? PGA Championship winners Simon Khan and Scott Drummond, European Tour stalwart Mark James alongside many other European Tour players including David Lynn and 2002 Ryder Cup tourist Philip Price and two former Manchester United players turned?golfing professionals, in Lee Sharpe and Clayton Blackmore. Two-time Yorkshire Invitational Winner Liam Bond will also be looking to make it three wins from three attempts - a record for the Yorkshire Invitational.

As well as attracting some of the most well known faces in the game of golf, the Yorkshire Invitational has proved a popular fixture with business figures and stars of UK sport in recent years, where it has provided the ultimate setting for those looking to pit their golfing wits against some of the region’s finest amateur talent and accomplished professional players at the idyllic Ilkley Golf Club. These have included Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler, Class of ‘92 Manchester United great Paul Scholes, as well as? Olympic Bronze medallist Nile Wilson and Football Focus’ Dan Walker.
