Yokohama pneumatic fender, also known as marine fender, takes air as the medium and uses compressed air to absorb impact energy. Make the ship more flexible and soft when berthing, so as to achieve the effect of anti-collision.
Basic Introduction
Yokohama fenders have been widely used in oil tankers, container ships, yachts, offshore platforms, large docks, military ports, large piers and so on.
Compared with the traditional elastic rubber fender, yokohama fender has the following advantages:
1. The absorbed impact energy is large and the anti impact force on the ship is small.
2. Simple installation.
3. It has good elasticity and will not deform under the action of compression.
4. Light weight, practical and economical.
Selection of fender
When shipowners choose fenders, sometimes the factors considered are not comprehensive enough, and they often feel very troublesome. The following examples can help solve this problem.

Basic Composition
According to iso17357-1:2014, the fender consists of the following parts:
1. Outer rubber layer
The rubber layer covering the outside of the fender is used to protect the fender frame material and inner rubber from external force damage or wear.
2. Inner rubber layer
The rubber layer on the inner wall of the fender is used to prevent gas leakage and maintain the air pressure of the fender.
3. Cord rubber layer

4. Winding ring
Steel rings placed at one end (or both ends) of the fender are used to fix the end of the cord fabric.
5. End flange
The metal parts at both ends of the fender can be installed with inflation valve and safety valve.
Fender Drawings
Yokohama Pneumatic Fenders are available in diameters ranging from 300 mm to 4,500 mm and lengths ranging from 500 mm to 9,000 mm, as well as special sizes.
All sizes are available as sling-type or with a heavy duty chain & tire net.
Fender Performance
Fender Inspection
According to the industry standard of ISO17357, the fender shall be subject to air tightness and pressure inspection. In addition to the factory's own inspection, a third-party inspection organization is often invited for product inspection, such as CCS / BV / ABS.
Fender Package
The delivery method of fender is relatively flexible, which is usually carried out according to customer requirements. Often, due to the characteristics of fender itself, it will be carried out in the following ways to help users save freight.
Diameter 0.3-1.2m, inflated delivery
Diameter 1.2-4.5m , deflated delivery
