Yoga and Customer Connect

It is said that Principles never fail, If you live by them; you excel, If you break them; you fail
A lot has been said and written about Customer Connect or creating a wow factor for our customers. Recently while practicing Yoga, I could identify and correlate few basic principles of yoga which are directly related to customer connect. As per Yoga there are four principles to be successful, I call it 4 C’s of customer connect.
1- Concentration: “Concentration is the secret of strength.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
The very first yoga principle is “To concentrate” while practicing without any distractions. This is so much relevant in day to day life as well. The one who concentrate on customer needs, profile and provide customised solutions, connect better than who doesn’t.
2- Consistency: “Consistency over time is Trust” Satya Nadela
2nd principle is to be consistent while practicing Yoga. Inconsistency will impact outcome of Yoga eg. It might take more time to produce the desired results. It’s as simple as being consistent in efforts to build connect with our customer. It’s the most important virtue of being effective at work or being successful in relationship building.
3- Correctness: “It is easier to be critical than correct”. Benjamin Disraeli
3rd principle is doing the Yoga in Correct way i.e. right way. Else it might harm more than its benefits. Many times we try to take short cuts for quick gains, however following the right process will bring productive and long lasting customer connect rather than making false promises for shorter gains and results.
4- Cheerfulness: “The most certain sign of wisdom is cheerfulness”. M Montaigne
4th principle articulates importance of being cheerful while practicing yoga. Its said that your feelings directly impacts your yoga. Being cheerful at workplace not only makes you accessible and approachable for your customers but also keeps you healthy and being healthy is the cornerstone of personal effectiveness.
If all these 4C's are practiced than 5th "C" i.e "Customer" will be yours........ :)
