YMag? turns it’s final page…

Some companies shelve their brands when it's time to pivot, well, in our case, we are taking YMag? off the shelf. Literally.

Trust me when I say that this has not been an easy decision by any stretch of the imagination, as YMag? is my baby and I adore print.

However after 3 glorious years in print, we feel it’s time to reveal YMag? 2.0.

YMag? launched in printed form in Brisbane, July 2017 and stole the hearts of so many around Australia, as the magazine captures the true essence of our being… our Y.

We have been honoured and privileged to profile hundreds of women in our print magazine and also previously over a 4-year period, in our digital publications.

To say it has been a pure joy working with our profiled women, is an understatement. These women play the big game, with honesty, integrity and grit. I thank each and every one of you for your belief in me, YMag? and yourself, as YOU have empowered others to find their Y, and for that, I thank you.

Not coming from the industry and with no previous magazine experience, I needed a top shelf team to produce a world-class magazine and I was blessed to find them. Their expertise has made YMag? what it is today and what it will be remembered for in years to come. A publication that profiled people who prefer to fly under the radar, living their true purpose in life. Unapologetically, passionately and with honour, these women and men strive daily to be the best version of themselves.

From our Editorial Director Susannah Pask who has worked with our team since we launched in print, I thank you for your belief in me and incredible penmanship . To our designers over the years for understanding my scribble and 4 year old style drawings and turning them into world-class page designs . To our Editor Kristen Lowrey for her eagle eye and expertise ensuring we created a magazine that was polished . To my husband Russ, with whom we wouldn’t have been able to achieve as much in the past few years, if he didn’t join the company full time.

To all of our loyal YMag? family, I thank you for buying our magazine in a newsagent over the past 3 years and also to our many wonderful subscribers who receive our magazine quarterly, thank you for your belief in us. To the many testimonials we’ve received saying how YMag? has changed your life, we say thank you. To the many women who have joined our She Hyve community, we say thank you. To the many events who requested our magazine for their gift bags, we say thank you. To those women who held a copy in a Qantas lounge or hotel and sent me an email thanking me, we say thank you.

So, what is next for YMag??

We are as committed as ever on our journey of illuminating women in business and YMag? 2.0 will be revealed very soon.

Once it is, you will see Y this was a necessary pivot for our brand.

Our desire to reveal entrepreneurial women is alive and well and our new platform will do this in such a bright and effervescent way, with far more reach than ever before.

At a time in the world where everything has shifted, it would have been remiss of us to continue running our brand in the same way. The benefit of being entrepreneurs, running highly pivotal businesses without fixed traditional business models and costs, is being able to pivot and shift when required.

And so we will…

Rest assured, my personal mission and Y of empowering women, is burning so bright, that the effects will be felt for many years to come.

Life has it’s way of making you reflect upon yourself and the bigger difference you are here to make and I am not exempt, nor would I want to be exempt, from this inevitable and much needed process.

Come the end of September 2020, our incredible magazine YMag? will come off the shelves around Australia for the last time.

And what a woman to end with. Our phenomenal manifesting Queen Cathy Domoney is the perfect ending to our 3 year publishing journey. Thank you Cathy for gracing our last print cover.

YMag? 2.0 is coming… be excited, be very excited. For those that know me, you'll know I'm brewing up something AMAZINGGGG!!!

But until then. Shed a tear with me, as we end the most exhilarating and rewarding chapter of my entrepreneurial journey and raise your glass to all the women who boldly profiled themselves in YMag?, in their desire to help others be all they can be.

You are all my heroes!
