YIELDING YOUR MIND, TO WHAT OR WHO?
Did you hear about the guy who became blind competing for the Guinness world record of longest weeping? How about the guy who died, echoing repeatedly that he would die? And the founder of Coscharis who thought to himself and went after greatness and became one? or the dud who said to himself, he would one day climb Mount Everest and so he did. How about the young chap whose preoccupation became sleeping with as many women or men as he would, until his life lost any other meaning?
"Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey"; that was Paul writing to the Romans. Friends, I have got not enough time to write to write a lengthy piece today, but let me try and leave you with something useful.
"Nothing is great or extraordinary in itself, but made so by the extraordinary input of man". That is David Oyedepo speaking.
I have observed truly that whatever we yiield ourselves to, simply takes us over until we become a master of it or it masters us. Whether it be vanity or venture, hard knowledge or market gossip; hard work or idleness. joy or sadness. Nothing, not even God forces itself on us., we only simply yield. Slowly but certainly become what we agree and commit to become. May you think and desire right and great to do something new, noble, positive impactful, righteous, kind, and constructive for the remaining part of your life - great day -?
become a better you.
